steview (717), Oceanside, California, USA May 10, 2008 the rumor! "straw yellow, bone dry and simply labeled inferno" ... well, there’s quite the description actually and the label is detailed: hazy, golden straw body, practically dead, with a thin white head and a disappearing lace; doughy, a bit of acidic citrus, and it is actually pretty dry; good. hapjydeuce (472), Carlsbad, California, USA May 8, 2008 Bottle from the brewery at the Cuvee / Anniversary release. Pretty awesome label they made for this. Light yellow color with big white bubbles and spotty lacing. Aroma is a lovely blend of aromatic hops, fruity orange citrus and pear esters, and a toasted bread yeast tone. Grassy flavor with more citrus and yeast underneath. Very dry and carbonated finish that leaves a slight sting on the palate. Foolish_Mortal (911), San Diego, California, USA May 7, 2008 750mL bottle. Yellow-gold color with a small white head. Banana and bubblegum estery aroma, faint spiciness and grassy hops. Herbal, grassy hops over a subdued maltiness. Spicy and citric yeast flavors permeate. Tinge of fruitiness in the finish, with residual hop presence. Mouthfeel is a light medium, rather dry. Snojerk321 (715), San Diego, California, USA May 6, 2008 750ml bottle from the brewery. Murky, pale yellow in color. Small amount of carbonation, some lacing. Light hops and Belgian yeast dominated the aroma, some banana and citrus as well. Brew had a very dry, crisp finish. Reminded me of a mellowed out RR Damnation. nightrider (203), encinitas, California, USA May 6, 2008 Golden yellow poured from the bottle with a small white head. Nice aromas of yeast and a little spice.Very easy on the palate. Dry hoppiness without much sweetness or maltiness. A bit of citrus.Excellent sustained finish as are all Lost Abbey beers.Good beer.
