COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Corruption, Greed, and Lust. They’re all represented on the hooks of today. Tomorrow, they’ll be stinging Gluttony, Desire, and Sloth. Go ahead. Tell yourself you’re better than all of them. But you can’t. Hell can be funny like that. Down here it’s all just sin. Everyone here is screwed just like you. They don’t care who you sliced, diced, or cheated. No on is escaping this heinous place. Your roommate is an ax murderer. Eerily, he’s not threatening. How can he be? Here, the Fallen Angel owns your body, mind and soul. As such, no one can take your life. It’s already been taken. Or was it given? Neither matters. Did you seriously think you were living a virtuous life. At least Satan serves beer in Hell. He brews it himself right there in that flame stoked cauldron. Rumor has it the beer is straw yellow, bone dry and simply labeled Inferno.

Poured into a tulip glass. Slow, super slow pour, but the head still sprang up quickly to three fingers. But it still looks nice; cloudy straw colored. Great lacing. Spicy smelling; tart orange and clove. So complex I can’t pick them out but it’s amazing. All sorts of flavors, light malt, yeast, spicy (cardamon, clove, cinnamon), bitterness rolling over it all. Well put together. Crisp and bubbly texture. Regal. Wow. Amazing overall. Beyond earthly description.

Bottle shared with ippopotamo36. Pours a yellow peach color, unclear, with a medium and persistent white head. Aroma of yeasts, citrus, orange zest, dust, cellar. Flavour is light sweet with a medium bitterness, citric, lemongrass. Medium body, over-carbonated. Ok.

Bottle in Rome-Italy, courtesy of Mortlach. Thank you. Bright and cloudy gold pour, off-white foam. Nose: Belgian spicy, mild caramel. Mouth: far too gassy, a bit unbalanced, Belgian soul but a bit rough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to Beercation for the hook up, it made a nice beer to share with my friend celebrating his birthday! It's a rich orange-gold with a thick fluffy off-white head. The aroma is big bold belgian richness that delivers honey, orange blossoms, caramel/toffee with a bit of sharpness. The taste is hugely belgian rich orange, honey, candied fruit and a surprising dryness on a light body. I would not think this is 9%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375 ml cork bottle at abv 9% opened with loud ‘pop’ bought at HK Brewcraft in Central.

Looks: Translucent golden honey colour with a thick crust of yeast sediments; One and a quarter finger head with crumpety white foam which last for 3 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing and fizzy carbonation.

Aroma: Fragrant malt, with wheaty tartness, dry champagne, pineapples, vanilla, alcohol, sugar, quite strong Bel yeast and very light lemon.

Taste: Pleasant strong sweet full Pils malt, with strong honey, strong floral, moderate tartness, strong carbo, molasses, very light alcohol, dry biscuits, strong yeast, fair lemon, moderate bitter hops and grass.

Body: Full body. Thick and very creamy palate. <pMouth Feel: Wholesome Pils malt in a rich, thick background. Some wheaty tartness can be detected but it does not interfere that lovely creaminess, which envelope the honey and strong floral very well. The sweetness is tightly controlled to medium level, never cloying at all. The 9% booze is almost untraceable. Notable Lemony hops to round. A beauty!

Hoppiness: Very light lemon in nose. Stronger in taste plus notable light grass. Bitterness is moderate for a lasting, fair astringent sweet malty finish.

After Taste: Dry. Nicely sweet and light bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one has nice looks and heads, with fair aroma suggesting strong dryness but with surprisingly strong creamy body and honey-ish palate. Its rather simple than most strong Belgian Golden Ale, but it’s very well made with strong hints of champagne-like joyfulness. A must-try!

Bottle@home with Erik. Haze to Milk yellow. Huge head. Well lasting white. Floral fruity. Melon pears. Fresh fruity hoppy mouthfeel. Dry bitter finish not lingering. Tannins. What a wonderful experience. Love this brew. Have to buy another. So balanced. Us interpretation of the strong Belgian blond and it's better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

McWorta (1339) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 11, 2016
Opalescent golden with a frothy large white head and excellent lacings. Aromas of wheat, white pepper, green banana, mango and young pineapple with a drop of lime bound together by fruity yeast esters with a faint hint of funk develop. Effervescent, subtely slick, rather slender yet offering a concentrated body. Wheat, fruity sweetness with some light bitterness and lovely fruity astringency. Lasting bone dry finish. Superbly in harmony.

Pours a cloudy haystack blonde with a soapy head that lingers and clings to the glass. The aroma packs a punch! Doughy, yeasty then pears, apples, pineapple juice, maybe even a touch of bubblegum? The taste is powerful, high assertive notes of passion fruit, then to dough then supported by pleasantly bitter breadcrust undertones, maybe a well-done pancake. Really hits the full octave. The hoppy aftertaste remains on the tongue but is in no-way overpowering. Mouthfeel is right down the middle of the fairway and not too thick, which would have been a little much. Overall this is an excellent, excellent and very well thought out beer - not surprising from the Lost Abbey folks.
