Papsoe (10459), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 6, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma of citrus and yeast. Solid body with fruit and yeast and a spicy touch. Lightly tart finish. Not uninteresting, but far from one of Lost Abbeys greatest. 051008 kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA May 25, 2008 Updated: Aug 13, 2008Date: 05/24/2008

MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, thank you yespr. Refreshing citric aroma, hint of sweet malt and spice. Cloudy orange colour. Big stable, plasticky white head. Sweet flavour, spicy, clove and alcohol. Uncompromising bitterness in the finish. Rastacouere (5409), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jun 5, 2008 Objectively speaking:
A very successful reproduction of the world-famous Duvel.
I like:
Generous peppery yeast and almost salty character from the mineral foundations work very well with the tight combination of alcohol, tea cookies, hay-like pils malt and expressive flowery, grassy, earthy hops. Fitting bitterness level, very dry. Excellent and authentic carbonation.
I dislike:
Seems to me this was dead on what they attempted and I do enjoy a Duvel from time to time, so it’s all good. CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 24, 2008 Updated: May 25, 2008Bottle thanks to wetherel: Pours a hazy golden bronze with a stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of semi-sweet biscuity Belgian malts with some earthy grassy hops. Body starts lightly sweet and biscuity malty with a very dry toasty finish. Pretty true to style, but I prefer a little more sweetness and body.
