COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A life worth living is full of discovery and we are reminded everywhere there is opportunity. All it takes is desire to seek out and find these things, these moments and everything in between. We brewed Lost and Found Abbey Ale to pay homage to the great monastic breweries of Belgium. Like us, we hope you’ll take the time to discover a beer that breathes aromas of figs, raisins and candied fruits. Please join us by raising your glass as we offer a toast to patience, perseverance, and all the things we have lost along the way and were somehow lucky enough to find once again.

Pours an average frothy off-white head that fully diminishes. Body is hazy ed brown. Aroma contains moderate malts (light bread, cookie, straw, caramel), light hops (pine, grapefruit, orange, lemon), light yeasts (leather, soap) and grape, raisin, plum, apple, cherry, cassis, tawny port, brown sugar, vanilla, cola and spices. Flavor is light acidic at the start, then sweet is added and finally light bitter is added. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Subtle beer with complexity. Absolutely love it!

Pours an opaque burgundy with a finger of beige head and decent lacing. Aroma is more subdued than expected but has the typical dark fruit, caramel and yeast. Taste is very similiar with sweetness of dark fruit and caramel and a nice spiciness. Maybe a hint of bitterness and clove. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. An above average but not stellar example of the style. Had with Thanksgiving dinner 2013. Paired best with the pecan pie.

Darker copper color, head collects around rim. Scents are subtle, Belgian yeast, brown sugar, caramel. A slightly spicy taste with the Belgian yeast taste, brown sugar caramel, still subtle. Finishes with some spice, lot of carbonation. Not bad, a little bland. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap. Pours red hazel, tiny tan head, bit of lacing. Aroma is spiced, cinnamon, allspice, almost like a punkin beer. Flavor is supper spiced, medium sweet, not much bitterness, ginger, fruit cake. Dammit, lay off the fucking spices already! Medium body.

750 ml bottle at home - Pours hazy nutty amber with a small white head. Spicy aroma of caramel, bit of cloves, raisins - small madeira touch as well. Dissapointingly light body with actually little taste. Very watery with just some peach hints... that’s it. Tastes like an Ice Tea with too much carbonated water in it. Not a fan.

Bottle from J’s in Thomasville. Deep brown pour with ruby highlights and a frothy tan head. Aroma of raisins, fig newtons, candy sugar, toffee, brown sugar and caramel. Lighter in body with fig, raisins, cookies, brown sugar and toffee in the flavor. Nice carbonation and quick dry ending. Not bad.
