3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small caged bottle. Huge slow fading pillowy head on slighty reddish brown beer. Very clear but lots of sediment in bottle. Interesting nose with chilis and tamarind noticeable...cloves and more spicy yeast notes as it warmed. Kind of flat flavors though..pretty average belgian brown. Bit of a letdown.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish beer with a small, off white head on top that disappears really quickly. Aroma is very fruity, loads of dark fruits, some herbal and vegetal notes. Flavor has a very faint spicy note, loads of sweet ripe fruits, a decent, thick malty mouthfeel. Aftertaste is long and sweet, sticky and cloying till the very finish. Low level of carbonation. some yeastyness detected in the mouthfeel. Overall quite nice, but not really impressive as a Quad in my book.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 6, 2015 Bottle: Dark brown pour with ruby-red edges, topped with a light-tan foam that settles pretty quickly. Slight dark fruity tartness on the nose. Raisin, plum, black cherries, all lacquered with a big malty sweetness underneath. Caramel, toasted bread, toffee, light molasses. Don’t get much spice on the nose at all, honestly. Flavor is heavy on the caramel malt & molasses, alongside some notes of dry cocoa powder. Boozy raisins, black cherries, plums, clove, & finally a small hint of chili powder adding a bit of spice towards the back-end. Slight alcohol warmth. Finish lingers with raisin, plum, & molasses. Would have liked to see a little more of the chili, cinnamon, & spice. Not bad, just a touch underwhelming.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle.355@brewdog, hki. Dark brown. Broen malty, slight spicy, but sort of lively fruity. Dark fruits, some figs, bit plummy, malty though, not too syrupy on the nose at least. Some yeasty soft full belgy notes. Full bodied, some oilyness, but finishes on a clean, long, palate. Real nice. Intensive dark fruityness, some woody flavours, chocolate, slight sweet dark fruits. A sipper for a stay-at-home, read a book- type of a dark cold evening. Bit more carbonated than your average quad, adds to the deceptive light feel.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle, on 03.02.2015 (2 years after initial release?). Pours dark brown with small head, disappearing fast. Aroma: very complex aroma of raisins, chillies, coffee, some "wild" Belgian yeast, spices (cinnamon) with a strong dark chocolate foundation. Taste: also very complex, with all elements perfectly balanced: dark chocolate, coffee, raisins, subtle chilli, some wild yeast and hoppy bitterness in the background. Subtle alcohol warming in the palate. This is a very complex beer, at the same time with no "in your face" effect regarding any of the ingredients (perfect balance!). Fantastic stuff. Ont of the most complex quads I ever had.

375ml corked bottle. Rich chocolate aroma with notes of cinnamon and dark fruit. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head and some lacing. Starts with dark chocolate as well as dark fruit, mostly raisin, flavors. Finishes fairly smooth with notes of cinnamon as well as a bit of booze that lingers with the chocolate on the palate. Rich, complex beer.
