Bottled May, 2012 Pours golden with a solid quilt of bone white foam that falls to a central dome in a minute. Smells of sweet grain, a saison like yeast quality, some hay, a little grass, some artificial apricot, and a hint of clay. Flavor reminds me mostly of a belgian blonde - with overtly savage yeast. Too belgian for me. Sweet with grain and plenty of yeast - nearly a unibroue intensity here. Not sitting well with me. Some hints of grains of paradise. Medium on full bodied with lively carb and a wet finish. Glad I only grabbed one. Serving type: bottle 09-27-2012

Bottle @ Odense Beer & Ball Saturday - Real Madrid vs. Valladolid. Cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Citrus, yeast, fruity, sweet flavour. Not much brett in this beer.

Odense Beer & Ball Saturday - Real Madrid vs. Valladolid. Cloudy golden with a small white head. Yeasty aroma with some weak fruity and spicy notes, a bit like a boring, non-trappist tripel. Sweet yeasty and spicy flavour with a touch of funk. Quite disappointing for a Lost Abbey brett beer...

Bottle @ Beer & Ball Saturday, Odense. 13,000th Tasting. Pours hazy golden with a small off white head. Very mild funk, brett and fruit. Yeasty phenols. Too little brett.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Cloudy golden-orange. Aroma is yeasty, fruity, a bit soapy, a bit floral. Sweetish yeasty flavor with fruity esters. Medium-bodied. Like a middle-of-the-road Belgian Ale.

375mL bottle dated 7/23/2012.Aroma is fairly fruit with moderate pear and red apple notes along with lighter notes of tropical fruit and pineapple. Light graininess present. Hint of barnyard funk.Pours a slightly cloudy pale gold with a moderately thick white head that is slightly soapy but had pretty good retention. Light lacing and no legs.Flavor is similar but with a lot more red apple cider character that immediately hits you. Lighter pear notes with only faint tropical fruit and cherry. Funk is fairly low and malt tastes a bit stale and honey-like. Low bitterness. Some lingering honey and red cider notes. Dry finish.Mouthfeel is medium to medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth.Overall a good beer but not an amazing beer. Saints Devotion is a much better Brett beer. The cider notes are too strong and it seems a little under carbonated. Could use a lighter fruit character and fresher malt profile.

Sample at the Willoughby PBCCP tasting on 11/17/2013: This brew pours a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruit, malt and yeast. Medium-bodied with flavors of mildly tart fruit, earthy yeast and malt. The finish is fruity with a slightly funky yeast aftertaste. A little disappointing considering the caliber of the two breweries involved in this effort. Decent overall.

Bottle. Sour nose, vinegar. Fruit, not one dimensional sweet. A robust Belgian ale coping with the Brett.
