3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Christianssand Brygghus. Slightly hazy deep golden with a small white head. Both aroma and flavor is rather mild and subtle in this beer, but giving it some proper attention will reward. This is not a typical sour beer at all, more a decent Belgium ale with just a hint of Brett. The main flavor is sweet malt, it’s also fruity, moderate bitterness, some Belgium yeast, a bit spicy and then a hint of funk. Fine body and aftertaste in same direction of the rest of the beer. Smooth and well balanced, demand some extra attention maybe.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy yellow with small frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, funk, and fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a strong funk and brett with light citrus and wheat. Hides alcohol well, very good wild ale from Lost Abbey.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, shared at RBAG 2013. Dull medium gold, average white head. Lightly sour apple aroma. Palate delivers low-key Brett character with sugary sweet malts. Disappointing compared to some of the Brett giants we had on this glorious day.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle share at RBAG 2013 (Thanks Tony!) sampled back to back with Saints devotion. The pour is yellow and hazy with minimal white head. In terms of aroma a little more going on here than with the saints devotion, some brett, a bit of bread? some sourness but overall smells more complex than the previous bottle of saints. Like Saints, the taste is underwhelming, a bit of bread, some citrus notes (mostly lemon) but leaves you wanting more. Maybe my expectaions were to high...

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Hazy pale gold orange lasting white head. Stewed apple bit of malt touch of brett maybe. Decent Belgian ale. Not overly sour. Some sour green apple on the finish. Yes more wild than sour. Very drinkable. It’s a slightly sour slightly wild beer. Good drinkability in mouth, some almost too sour stewed green apple flavour in the mouth. Touch of hop on finish. Fine.

Small corked bottle at RBAG 2013. Pours out lemon yellow, cloudy and some floaties. Head is thin and white. Light brett in the nose, bread, grain. Taste is bready with lemons and stronger citrus notes to finish. Dry and crisp. Overall good, but was hoping more more.

Bottle - Grains and fruit esters. Cloudy yellow with a thin persistent head. Weird esters and bread. Not a fan.
