2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours slightly hazy lemon colored with a small white head.
Smell light citrus and melon.
Taste mellow, like a smooth blond ale, with a bit of funk on the end.
Kind of disappointing, it didn’t have any major brett character.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A bottle pour a few weeks back. Like a lot of the ratings, this was just an average brew from two outstanding breweries. It had some decent earthy funk to it, but it was somewhat of a let down.

Medium coarse offwhite head. Hazy orangey body. Funky mealy earthy aroma with fruity honey notes. Sweetish mealy fruity oily taste. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel with fluffy notes. Dryish mealy orangey aftertaste with funky notes. Hard to describe, but lovely fluffy mouthfeel makes it incredibly easy to drink. Lovely. (0.65l bottle, shared by hcalsos.)

from Erzbierschof - cloudy dark blond-orange beer with no foam left; aroma of honey and litchies, notes of candy sugar; medium-bodied and fairly sweet; residual sugars and more fruity tones (pineapple, litchies) in the finish along with some lingering spicy tones - hey ! where are my bretts ?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is a cloudy yellow-orange beer that pours with a rapidly disappearing white head. There are zesty citrus and spicy fruity notes with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry vanilla finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled, large sample. After pouring some of the sediment, it became hazy golden colored with a short slight off-white head. Aroma has slight pepper, hint of white wine, grapes, hint of grainy malt. Slight dry in taste, bit sweet, hint of caramel, quite spicy. Also has some fruitiness like white wine. There is some spice or spicyness I cant seem to name. Nice that it’s 100% Brett, but it tastes a bit like lots of belgian beers do. Nothing special in that.
