3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours cloudy golden in color. Huge fluffy white head, nice peaks. Nice sweet, fruity, musty aroma. Smells great. Taste is fruity, lemons, oranges, very peppy and some yeast. The pepper seems to linger. Finish is pepper and some yeast, cloves and banana. Decent, I was hoping this would be as good as SPF 45, but I didnít think so.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy light orange color with a pillowy head. Has good retention and lacing on the glass. Has the nice funky farmhouse aroma and a dry apple taste with overtones of pepper. The mouthfeel is medium and the finish is medium dry.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Shared with yiannnos. Pours a light golden colour, was expecting this to be more red as the name suggests. Lots of saison yeasty aromas. Citrusy with dry finish. Nice beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Style and Glass: Saison; tulip
ABV, Volume & Calories: 6.7 % in 25.4 fl oz. estimated at 300 C
Purchased at: Newportville Inn, Bristol, PA for $8.50
Aroma: peaches, fruit, hayfield, dirt, dust. Inviting, flowery aroma.
Visuals: Beautiful packaging, though I feel similarly about religious iconography on my beer as I do about fish. Iíd rather not see it right there, in particular. Hazy golden sunset, with a bright white cloud of a head. Lace is intricate.
Taste: A very nicely done saison ó tea, some spice, cloves, but what really sets this apart is the rather hoppy finish and depth. Some corn and wheat, but heavier than most of the saisons Iíve tried, which is a good thing as far as Iím concerned.
Palate: Beginning is sweet and malty, middle is darker, and dries quickly, with a slightly bitter finish that lasts for about half a minute. A very nice example.
Overall: This was my first ever Lost Abbey brew, but it certainly wonít be my last. If they can make a very enjoyable saison, I believe they can do just about anything.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours hazy intense yellow with orange, very intense color. Huge frothy top, white, diminishing medium fast leaving rich prolate lasing. Aroma - pleasant, intense, dominant malt sweet with sour yeast touch in vanguard.Notes of pineapple, old leather, flowery, caramel, ginger. Reminds bit of champagne yeast profile. Taste is medium sweet, light sour and min spicy on tongue, min astringent, plus medium to above medium bitter from hopping. Flavour is well combined, balanced indeed between yeasty-spicy side and malt softness, plus sour touch is more refreshing element than mess in this flavor. Pleasant saison. Palate dry finish from hops, medium plus body, compote-thick texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste - slicky mild herbal bitter.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Hazy, cloudy, lemon brown color. Light head - quickly runs down and away from glass rim. No residue in bottom of glass. Spicy, coriander, pepper, a bit tart, sour smelling. 2nd sniff reveals more doughy, yeasty hints. Carbonated, acidic on tongue. Banana-yeasty flavor. Dry, quick finish, like a tease. Grassy, earthly elements noticeable but not too prominent. Nice job here.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy, golden orange with a soapy white head. Aroma is a sweet and musty malt. Flavor is more of the same, sweet and musty malt, touchs of spice, orange and in the background you taste the ginger and pepper. Finishes mild and dry. A very nicely done session beer.
