COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Farmhouse Ale traces its roots to the small rustic breweries of Southern Belgium. The word Saison comes to us from the French language and it means Season. Lightly spiced with Organic Ginger, Orange Peels, Black Pepper and Grains of Paradise, this brew promises to quench your thirst on the hottest Southern California days or wherever your travels may take you. Available in 750 ml bottles and on draft at select inspired locations.

Editor's note. This is a new incarnation of SPF 45, previously brewed at Pizza Port Solana Beach

Pours a hazy golden-yellow. The Aroma is very yeasty and peppery with plenty of barnyard spices of all sorts. Tastes of bready malts, without much sweetness. Slightly bitter hops with a faint hint of orange zest.

Bottle on the train back from the Brewdog AGM, thanks to Miss Swiggy! Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of bread, spice. Taste is more of the same. Rich texture, long spicy finish.

KoNrRiI (1036) - Århus, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2016
0.75 bottle. Hazy, gold color and a huge, white head of superb retention leaving at least some lacing. Aroma of citruses, Belgian yeasts, spices, bananas, cloves, and a hint of mayo, (suggested by a friend). Taste is sweet, spicy, a tad sour, definitely fruity. A medium body, a slick texture, and an above-average carbonation. Finish is long and spicy, a tad dry, bitterness overtakes sweetness in this particular case. Overall it is quite a nice beer but it deteriorates as one gets closer to the finish.

On tap @ the brewery. Hazy light gold, large dense white head that laces thickly. Lightly spicy, rustic yeast, light lemon, musty basement, peppery finish. This was great.

Bottle at Beergeek Bar. Pretty classic saison interpretation. Basementy yeasty spicy aromas and flavours, quite intense. Really good but just about that.
