3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Urban Family Public House, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma is very, very subtle with feint dry crackery malts, not much else. Flavour is similarly lifeless, with dry hoppy crackery malt, and more dry hops. Very dry and extremely dry hopped for the style. Not anything like a classic helles. Decent, but uninteresting.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Road to Helles. Tap at Lost Abbey. Clear straw with a pillowy two finger white head, OK retention. Sweet malt and toasted grain all up front, some cracker malt hanging around with light grassy hops and Lager yeast. Flavor follows suit, very refreshing. Never gets too sweet at all. Semi-dry, bitterness peaked at a 3. Light body with moderate carbonation. Damn fine-too bad no growlers yet. 8-5-8-4-16--4.1
