Inspired by crisp white wines, Saison Blanc features New Zealand hops, golden raisins and white pepper for a decidedly bright, spicy, and robust low ABV beer. Finished with Brettanomyces at packaging, this beer will evolve for many more years to come.

Geez, that cork was wedged in there tight. Hazy yellowish orange, with a smallish white head. Smells grassy and yeasty. Taste is nicely tart, with some citrus and some winey notes, and grassy hops finish. I liked it...

Bottle at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a medium, frothy white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, pear esters, raisins, pepper, wheat malt and earthy yeast notes. Flavor is lightly tart citrus and tropical fruit, light crisp malt, pepper, raisins and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Hazy orange color, almost no head. Aroma is acidic, funk, vineous. Taste is light acid and dry, some bitterness and tartness at finish. Flavor is funk, citrus, grapes, bread, herbal. Aftertaste is tart, dry, bitter with citrus character. Medium body, thin texture and medium carbonation. Bretts do the work. Very good.

Hazy orange color with big white head. Grapey, fruity, funky fresh aroma. Fruity taste, dry, high carbonation, vineous, spicy. Even a little bit salty. A nice one, okay-priced as well! Quite complex.

Bottle poured at a blind tasting. Thanks Eugene. Pours a reddish orange color with a short fizz head. Slightly sour tropical fruit aroma. Sweet gummy fruit flavor with hints of spice.in the finish. Interesting. Nice beer here.

375ml corked bottle. Lemon citrus aroma with notes of pepper. Pours hazy golden colored with a huge white head and no lacing. Starts with wheat and lemony citrus flavors. Finishes slightly dry with peppery flavors as well as a hint of Brett sourness. Interesting beer.

37,5 cl bottle (5,5%) @ tiong
Aroma is a bit musty with some grainy malt and apricot. Also some citrus. Flavour is odd with berries, some soapy citrus, apricot and hayish wheat. Also fruit candy. Only faint traces of bretta here. Not that good.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2015 Corked and caged, 12.7 oz bottle VINTAGE 2013. Nose is malty, dusty, faintly sweet; a maple syrup-raisin thing going on there sans sweetness. Some creamy/vanilla character, too. Pours light golden with moderate carbonation and a large, tight/dense, Orvallish head. Taste is very dry, golden pils/pale malt with low bitterness, slightly oily and perfumed hops (think Strisselspalt), candi residue, black pepper and a touch of airiness (neither fit in well), very light sweaty tartness that near familiar regurgitation/vomit, and there’s some sagging bell pepper bile, but that’s about it for the funk. Zesty, lively citrus, medium-full body with no apparent alcohol. Not sure I like the mix, or the contribution of the raisins or yeast (would prefer the flavors contributed naturally by a saison yeast).
