Inspired by crisp white wines, Saison Blanc features New Zealand hops, golden raisins and white pepper for a decidedly bright, spicy, and robust low ABV beer. Finished with Brettanomyces at packaging, this beer will evolve for many more years to come.

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. The aroma was peppery, with grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, funky and some bread. The taste was similar and moderately sweet with some hoppy bitterness. Nice.

2013 vintage. Unclear medium yellow golden with a creamy white head, lasting with nice lace. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Mild Brett. Citrus. Tropical fruit. Grape. Raisin. Straw. Lightly spiced. Light and very dry, much more so than the nose lets on. Same can be said for the flavor, which is less fruity and sweet compared to the aroma. Lots of Brett influence. Dusty. Peppery. Grapefruit. White wine.. Grass. Earth. Cracker. Mild to moderate bitterness. Complex. I’d get a bunch of these if not for the cost. Great beer.

Sampled atvesbls. Very hazy yellow white. Sour flavor to say the least. And that is tart sour. Very bitter, too. But I got the dregs. Itvis zest. Fruit and soft malts. Probably not the way this beer is supposed to be enjoyed.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma presents with dry chardonnay, citrus, lots of funk, barnyard, crisp green apples, some bretty stuff but not a whole lot. Also some earthy stuff, a dash of moldy age. Taste is initially sweet but quickly evolves into a mildly dry bitterness. Not much sourness, but more of a bubbly spicy/earthy feel accompanying the initial sweetness. The aroma is a bit tame, but the taste is quite fresh and nicely spiced.

Hazy yellow pour with a small white head. Nose is hoppy and fruity - tangerines and apples, notes of peppercorns and a sweet-ish raisin note. Good subtle funk to it as well. Taste predominately funky - a clean fruity bretty character alongside a nice estery and spicy saison yeast. Green apple notes, crisp brett and a nice and bright hoppiness in the finish. This is a really nice, bright and clean saison that I could drink very frequently if it was A) available more and B) not as expensive and C) available in cans that are always cold and located in my fridge.
