3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Crisp, very hazy and super blonde coloured body with a rich, three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of pears, apples, white grapes, light hops and a hint of flowers - a lot of character, but all mild. Light-bodied; Sharp pungent brett and floral notes hit first then show some subdued yeast and grassy flavours, coupled with a very light and not very sweet white grape flavour. Aftertaste hits more from the brett and yeast than anything else with not much body and that dry herbal flavour coming at the end. Overall, a decent saison, but a nicer easy-drinking ale for the summertime with some good super mild complexity. That said, if this didnít sport the label on the front it would have a much lower score. A decent beer for sure, but not a great saison nor a beer worth searching out for. Iím happy I didnít spend much on this, otherwise Iíd be even more harsh on this one. I sampled this split 37,5 cL corked and caged bottle, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 30-November-2013 for US$5,03 sampled at home in Washington on 08-August-2014.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A hazy banana color with nice lace, it has some fruit and funk in the nose. Not my favorite, as the white pepper and raisin taste good but donít really make the beer great. Solid, but Iíve had better saisons.

Sampled at ESBLS. It poured a cloudy golden color with a white head. The aroma was peppery, with grapefruit, citrus, tropical fruits, funky and some bread. The taste was similar and moderately sweet with some hoppy bitterness. Nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
2013 vintage. Unclear medium yellow golden with a creamy white head, lasting with nice lace. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Mild Brett. Citrus. Tropical fruit. Grape. Raisin. Straw. Lightly spiced. Light and very dry, much more so than the nose lets on. Same can be said for the flavor, which is less fruity and sweet compared to the aroma. Lots of Brett influence. Dusty. Peppery. Grapefruit. White wine.. Grass. Earth. Cracker. Mild to moderate bitterness. Complex. Iíd get a bunch of these if not for the cost. Great beer.
