The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Aromas increíbles, notas a café, chocolate, cacao y ligeramente especias. Frutos secos, especias principalmente pimienta, maltas tostadas. Definitivamente una excelente cerveza imperdible.

750 ml bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a small dark beige/marronish head. Intesne roasty and toasty malts. Medium body with quite some sweetness, roastiness and alcohol. Taste is dark chocolate, burnt toast and coffee grind. Very nice.

Pours pitch black with a one finger tan head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, dark fruits, licorice, coffee, anise, dark chocolate, sweet malts, molasses, and some light booze. Taste is roasted malts, coffee, milk and dark chocolate, licorice, anise, dark fruits, sweet caramel malts, molasses, some light burnt wood notes, some light spicy hops, and just the faintest booze as it warms. Has a full body with a very creamy, slightly oily mouth feel and a semi bitter, slightly warming, long lingering finish. Overall, a excellent imperial stout that hides its high abv very well and has nice mouth feel to it.

Draft. Very strong and sweet coffee flavored beer. ABV 11 is a little too high to drink like a conventional beer. Need to sip it, like wine. Actually easier to drink with food than by itself. Nevertheless, clearly a very well made and flavorful beer.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark black beer with no carbonation and small brown head. Smell: roasted malt, notes of chocolate and coffee. Sugar presence, and small alcohol finish. Taste: very good palate with roasted malt notes and chocolate, small sweet caramel presence. Finish as alcohol. Aftertaste: good roasted malt, coffee and alcohol. Very nice beer !

Pitch black color with nice foam layer, but the foam disappears rather quickly. The smell is coffee and chocolate heavy. The taste is smooth, lightly carbonated and has a lot of chocolate and also some spicy chili like hotness. Smooth aftertaste. Very nice beer.

Black color with big-bubbled beige-brown head. Huge coffee and vanilla aroma, some bitter chocolate. Taste is a bit fruity, more coffee, bitter chocolate and vanilla, a spicy hot kick towards the end. Incredibly rich. Carbonation is surprisingly present. Still a silky mouthfeel. The snake bites, yes. Also because of the carbonation, and that?s why I accept this carbonation as part of the concept ;) An excellent Imperial Stout which manages to still be special! Another Lost Abbey which lives up to its reputation (I haven?t had too many).

Tap at porters pub in easton pa. Near black with tan head. Vanilla, roasted malt, good overall nose. Sweet roasted malt, nice carry through , drying at the end. Good full body. Smooth. This snake had some bite. Very good.

Strong aroma of coffee, plum/raisin, leather, spice, black licorice and booze. Smells like a cross between an Imperial Stout and a Quad. Pours out a deep black color with a large head of brown foam. The flavor is everything from the aroma except with less spice and much more roast. Good, but a little too charred for me. The aftertaste brings in some sweetness. Palate is silky but could be a little thicker and less carbonated. This was good, but not worthy of a 100 rating. Imperial Stout is my favorite type of beer, but I’m not into the roast bomb thing.
