4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Strong, robust, good representation of an Imperial Stout. High in ABV and malt, didn’t have the smoked barley flavor I enjoy but the appearance was spot on with the presence of specialty grains such as patten.

Pours jet black with brown head. Aroma is bland, common stout, maybe mild chocolate and dig. Taste of chocolate, toffee, booze. Mouthfeel velvety and mod thick. Overall okay.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: The body is pitch black with a towering brown head, great looking imperial stout.
Aroma: The aroma is mild but hints at smoke with sweet chocolate and a mild dark fruitiness of fig.
Taste: The beer skews towards sweet with sweet chocolate and fig intertwining. The finish adds mild licorice and hints of smoke, both are prominent but not overbearing. Good balance with no signs of booze at all.
Palate: Creamy and thick, perfect.
Overall: Great balance here, this would be a near perfect stout for me if the finish didn’t have licorice on it. Still this is a fantastic beer I would gladly drink again. No signs of booze and great balance combined with a creamy body is a must try from me.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Excelente.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A gift 750 ml. bottle that I cellared for a few years before breaking it out for a friendly craft tasting. Viscously poured to snifters, showing an opaque, black/brown color, with frothy, brownish tan head foam, and clingy waves & spots of lacing. The aroma was a mellow nose of roastiness, chocolate, some toffee, and smooth malt. The body was full, with flavor notes similar to the aroma, plus some tanniny astringency, and well integrated, bourbony alcohol. The finish was smooth and very satisfying!

750ml C&C bottle (2013 vintage). Pours a thick motor oil black color with 2 fingers of frothy dark chocolate head. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, sweet dark fruits, booze, and dark roasted malts. Taste of fresh roasted coffee, sweet dark fruits, toffee, rich dark chocolate fudge, and burnt toast. Very nice!
