COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpentís Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Tap at porters pub in easton pa. Near black with tan head. Vanilla, roasted malt, good overall nose. Sweet roasted malt, nice carry through , drying at the end. Good full body. Smooth. This snake had some bite. Very good.

Strong aroma of coffee, plum/raisin, leather, spice, black licorice and booze. Smells like a cross between an Imperial Stout and a Quad. Pours out a deep black color with a large head of brown foam. The flavor is everything from the aroma except with less spice and much more roast. Good, but a little too charred for me. The aftertaste brings in some sweetness. Palate is silky but could be a little thicker and less carbonated. This was good, but not worthy of a 100 rating. Imperial Stout is my favorite type of beer, but Iím not into the roast bomb thing.

Really nice but a little too sweet. Not the hops of storm king as well. Oily and black though.

Wow! 2010 version on draft at falling rock in Denver! Solid black with thin tan foam. Coffee, chocolate, and depth dominate this beer!

750 mL bottle shared with Jason. The pour is a viscous black with a dark tan head and no lace to be left. The aroma is incredibly roasty. There are some light vanilla and licorice notes, and it's really well balanced. Everything you could hope for in an imperial stout. The flavor is just as good. There is a malt complexity that I wasn't expecting. It blends roasted malts with a good bitter chocolate and a nice licorice. There is a light booze heat on the back end to let you know it's 11%. The mouth feel is a touch thin. The carbonation isn't what I was hoping for, but it does remain clinging to the mouth for a bit. The aftertaste is nice and roasty with a subtle dark chocolate that comes back on the back end. Not bad at all ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

8th May 2015: in a flight of six at the excellent Brewhouse, San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, Black with a tanned top. Smoky, bitter coffee aroma and taste: hides the alcohol well with itís heavy coffee flavour. Impressed.

Vanilla coffee in aroma. Flavor of coffee without the harsh bitterness associated with coffee. Malt sweetness balanced out coffee perfectly. Finished equally as balanced.
