Commercial Description:
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Thanks to Zathrus13 for this bottle. Pours out black with a nice foamy almost brown head. Nice aroma of slightly roasted malt, dark fruits and some milk chocolate. Taste is complex with a smooth velvet-like mouthfeel. Flavors of roasted malts, toffee, slight caramel, chocolate and a little bitterness on the finish. Very nice creamy mouthfeel, another good effort from this brewery I wish would make a larger presence on the east coast.

Viscous black body under a huge tan head. Roasty dark chocolate and raisin aroma. The flavor starts with a kick of creamy oatmeal and is then replaced by acidic roast, chocolate, and dark fruits. A good I.S. but it’s marred by too-high carbonation. Nice oatmeal element however.

The pour was very attractive. Dark, semi-viscous and a brown head that was more ample than I expected. Moderate lacing. The aroma was lots of chocolate with sweet grass and light floral hops as well. Light roasted coffee and smoke in the background. The flavor was chocolate, sweet grass, floral hops and not much in the coffee, roasty, cedary department. Too sweet to be truly great. Nice chewy mouthfeel.

The aroma was rich with ferm. dark fruit, espresso, roast, smoke, cocoa, and plums. The beer poured an opaque color with thick lasting brown head and light lace. The flavor was complex and rich with espresso, cocoa, smoke, roast, and dark fruit. The mouthfeel was full bodied and good carbonation.

750, corked and baled. Thanks, SuzyGreenberg! Pours opaque, nearly black with a lacy tan head. Creamy full body, heavy on the chewiness, light on the carbonation. The aroma and taste are sweet and full of goodness: Coffee, chocolate, licorice, brown sugar, figs, nuts, molasses. This is one tasty beer!

Thanks to med. This pours a dark brown/black with a dense mocha colored head that lasts for some time but leaves little lacing on the glass. It smells of heavily of burnt/roasted malts, followed by dark fruits, chocolate, and booze. Taste follows from smell with plenty of roastiness and chocolate and a warming, bitter, drying finish. Full bodied and easy going down.
