The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpentís Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Dry dark fruit aromatics that suggest...ta da..dried fruits. Slightly soapy scrubbed plastic notes as well. Some chocolate and boozy alcohol as well. The body od dark brown to near black with ruby highlights and holds a thin mocha colored head that is somewhat lasting. Tastes of stewed root veggies, cocoa powder, dust and astringent/roasted malts. The finish is fairly bitter.

750ml bottle (thanks FatPhil). Pitch black color. Small size, brown head, stays. Sweet, caramel, minty, cake in aroma. Mild roast, sweet, ashy in taste. Ashy roast in aftertaste. Alcoholic burn when I swallow. So quite alcoholic.

750ml bottle (300e of overpriced beer tasting) (Alus Celle, Riga) (7:4:7:4:14=3.6)
Opaque black beer with a dark head. Smells sweet and sticky, with a bit of chocolate and toasty roasted malts. Anna thinks itís a bit slimy, but it works for me. Certainly thereís an alcohol rush up the back of the nose, and itís downright boozy in the finish. Annaís clearly no fan, itís heading towards being an oppressive boozy mess for her. At least she liked the burnt finish. I, however, found it a very nicely roasted stout. Certainly better warmer, as the coffee comes out nicely in the finish later - lovely.
