COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The history of the bible and religion is indeed the struggle of good vs. evil. Our Serpent’s Stout recognizes the evil of the dark side that we all struggle with. This is a massively thick and opaque beer that begs the saints to join the sinners in their path to a black existence.

Deep brown-black, oil thick. solid dirt brown head. Sweet aroma with a hint of alcohol, beautiful. Bold flavors all around, but not overbearing. Licorice and coffee, chocolate malt are all present. A very clean imperial stout for its thickness.

On draft at Federal Taphouse in Harrisburg PA. Great find and great beer. Aroma of roast coffee, appearance is frothy dark brown head and black as coal. Taste is complex and balanced and hides the alcohol very well. Super long chocolate and coffee finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the Lost Abbey, San Marcos, CA. Black colour with a small tan head. Coffee, roasted malt, vanilla and sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is coffee, vanilla, sweetness, roasted malt and some hoppy notes. Too much coffee for me. Creamy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Nice appearance. Highly boozy nose, but not objectionable. Smooth, malty, very, very nice. Would easily get again.

Intense strong flavors. Dark and powerful boozy like a drunk sith. I quite like it. Also from pine box.

(Tap) Intense. It is good although with a bit of bitterness. I would say it’s almost too strong for me!

Toasty, chocolate and doughy stout. This is the best stout that I have tasted. Beautifully balanced. Lingers lusciously on the tongue.

neongolden (704) - Linköping, Sweden/Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 22, 2015
(750ml bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, April 21 2015) Pours black with a huge pillowy mocha head and lots of lace. Aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, soy, smoky charred malts, an earthy peppery note. On the palate, a fair amount of sweet chocolate offset by ashy roasted malt, slightly oxidized soy and liqourice, molasses, a noticable acidic note, earthy. Finish pretty dry with lots of burnt malt bitterness, some chocolate, soy, earthy and smoky with maybe a touch of pepper. Fairly full body with smooth creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation, hints of alcohol. The very heavy roast definitely dominates this beer but sets it apart from most stouts. Still drinks smoothly even if it’s more acidic than sweet and unctuous. Good sipper.

Incredibly smooth, completely masking the elevated ABV. Chocolate comes to mind first, lots of roast grains. Abrupt finish.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful opaque black with a rich toffee colored head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Taste of burnt malts, coffee, dark chocolate, and slight booze.
