| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 31, 2009 Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Deep amber in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of HUGE funky farmhouse, cherry pits, lemon rind, and pale malts. Quite sour and funky in the mouth as well, along with a hint of balsamic vinegar that is balanced out by the malt. Complex and agressive, this is a serious beer that doesn’t pull any punches. Well done. coyotehunter (559), , Michigan, USA

Pours a brownish red with a nice foamy head. Taste is a big mix of flavors....sour cherries, wood, citrus, and something....not sure. The more I drink the more I want. Finish is a bit dry....and damn good. MrBunn (1566), Western, Pennsylvania, USA

Pours a dark brown (thin) with a minimal head that dies quickly and leaves a spattering of bubbles on the surface. Aromas of cherries, tartness, funkiness and some dark sweetness. Lots of acridity and sour cherries in the flavor with a mixture of grapefruit peels, lemon and acidic bite in the finish. Damn fine!!! hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 16, 2009 375ml bottle from rustychiles and his SS box of love! You are the man, Rusty. Rating #900. Finally cracking one of these! Poured into a goblet. Pours a dark extremely hazed pour, opaque rusty brownish black with small tannish head that dies to a film and clings to the corners of the glass. The aromas throw good tartness, sour cherries, a touch of citrusy lemon, bretty funk and horseblanket, a bit of dark chocolatey malt smoothed out to a pleasant tart and light balsamic vinegar with decent rounded oak. Initial throws a good tartness and bretty funk, sour cherries, lemon and grapefruit citrus acids, bretty fun and barnyard notes. The alcohol is fairly well hidden except in the finish, where the tart sourness and brett give way, coat the palate, and a warming sensation follows as it goes down. The malt end is smoothed out, a touch dark, chocolatey, and caramel, but largely dominated by sour and decent funk with some wet wood. A faint dark fruit element comes into play, making a brief appearance, as cherries, citrus, balsamic vinegar, and bretty funk and horsblanket are the dominant factors. A bit light in the aftertaste, but quite delicious, lingering lactic sourness. Great work by Tomme Arthur. Cheers! BBB63 (4283), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Bottle provided by Kevin (Pailhead), thanks!
Brown hued with reddish highlights with a small but lasting head which left sticky lace upon the glassware. The aroma has notes of acidic fruits and horsey brett, caramel and bready malts, pepper and herbs, a touch of vinegar and some chocolate too. The taste starts with tart acidic fruits and flowery yeast, minerals and almonds, biting edges with a slight spicy note. The mouth feel is lively and sharp, mouth watering and very refreshing. Really really tasty, worthy of the praise. Thanks again for sharing this gem. fiulijn (7530), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Blind tasting at Papsø’s Cloudy brown color. Quite nice Bretts aroma, mild, with cobwebs, cellar, very mild chocolate too. The body is quite strong, more than the average Lambic; there is a strong lemony sourness, with some astringency too, that fits well, here; strangely the hidden flavor is chocolate. Extreme. Quite good.
