COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Currently draft only. Recent bottlings have an orange front label.

Down in Kentucky and across the pond in Scotland, distillers who age their whiskeys for many years refer to the evaporation of the spirits from their barrels as “The Angel’s Share.” We couldn’t agree more. Our Angel’s Share is a barrel aged burgundy colored ale infused with copious amounts of dark caramel malt to emphasize the vanilla and oak flavors found in freshly emptied brandy barrels. Each batch spends no less than 6 months aging in the oak. The beer is available in 750 ml bottles and on draft at inspired locations.

2010 ABV: 11.5% 375ml Bottling stamp on neck says 2010 but was released in Jan 2011. It is called the 2011 Angels Share Brandy.
2009 ABV: 11.5%, 375 mL
2008 ABV: 12.5%, gold lettering, 750ml and 375ml, with 2008 on label
2007 ABV: 11.5%, gold lettering, 750ml only
2006 ABV: 10.5%, black lettering, 750ml only

2010 vintage on tap at the Brick Store Sweet Sixteen party. The aroma is intense sour cherries, molasses, vanilla, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet, with a significant sourness through the finish. Medium body, acidic, and thin. Overall, this is an interestingly sour beer. The initial aroma is a little unexpected, but it grows on you.

Bottle share at Cotteridge Wines. Cheers Sarky. Dark brown, small tan head. Aroma is boozy, sweet vanilla, background pine or mint. Body is medium, slightly foamy, low carbonation. Taste is sweet toffee, some meaty flavours going on, tangy alcohol reminding me of spirits like Aftershock, a little salty Decent sipping beer.

Bottle share. Cotteridge Beano. Hazy brown. Tan head. Big, woody, dark, oaky malts. Sweet. Some dry. Rich, a bit boozy, and a bit chewy. Lovely this.

Bottle at Cotteridge Wines convention; hazy dark brown pour with a thin light tan head, quite a robust malts aroma with hint of roast, taste has chocolate, caramel, some dark fruits and a hint of vanilla.

I presume this is the regular LA share, was on tap at the madmex so I presume they are not good enough for the real aged thing. Black and foamy, quite alarming volatile sweet aroma. Big whisky alky impacy. go figger. Over the top on the taste buds, wew. Warming all over. A mans beer fer sure eheheh. If you want to drink shots of this give it a 5.

Draft at Moriartys. Opaque brown/black body with some off-white foam. Strong barrel flavors meeting a tremendously full mix of full-bodied dark roasted malts. Charcoal grill. Bitter chocolate malt. Espresso. Very dark red stone fruit and berries. Slick black liquorice. Have had this brew in very guises for many years. Rating this one as the "generic" version now found only on draft. Love it!

Butelka 375ml. Niesamowicie przyjemny i głęboki aromat. USTA : brak nasycenia. Piwo jest tłuste i mocno gęste. Smak jest bardzo intensywny i kolonizuje wszystkie kubki smakowe. Słodki o nutach czekolady, suszonych fig, śliwek i orzechów. Do tego alkohol rozgrzewa i szczypie. Nie da się zrobić dużego łyka. Trzeba go powoli siorpać bo nie da rady inaczej. Ogólnie dominuje whisky. ODCZUCIA : fantastyczne i wymagające. Mocny smak whisky świetnie łączy się z czekolada i suszonymi owocami. Smak jest super intensywny i sprawia niesamowita przyjemność. Polecam na koniec dnia, najlepiej przy kominku (którego chciałbym teraz mieć). Fantastyczny trunek. OCENA : smak : 9/10 pijalność : 2/10 styl : +2

On tap at POUR. Bourbon, oak, vanilla, rum raisin, figs, dates, rich ripe macerated fruits, tobacco, and glycerin. Wonderfully rich aroma. Dark brown-black opaque with thin light tan lacing head. Medium-heavy body, short of chewy, with medium-high carbonation. Big, big beer - huge flavors that mimic the aromas - bourbon and rum raisin. Sweet but not cloying, a little woody and tannic but not big distractions. Huge bourbon finish and after, mildly bitter. Big warming.

TimE (3466) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 30, 2014
Dark mahogany color, rum raisin, port, oak, brown sugar, molasses, chocolatey nose. The mouth is totally flat, sweet malty mouth, with lots of port, brown sugar and raisins with a touch of oak. Warming portion finish. Can’t believe how flat this is and Tomme Aurther actually said it (2008 version) was an English BW. Losses points just for that.
