Draft at O’Brien’s. Brownish haze with smallish head. Aromas were malty and tart at the same time. Tart and dried fruit. Flavors were similar. Seemed that I could actually able to pick out the Tomme and the Angel’s Share components. Tart and a touch earthy/dusty on the finsihs. Very very tasty.

On tap at O’Brien’s, barrel-aged beer night. Appearance is a hazy brown color with orange edges. Not much head, just some lace swirls and microbubbles around the glass edges. Very pleasing aroma of cinnamon, butterscotch and caramel malts with some funky barnyard; along with detectable raisin and light hops. The blend is fantastic in this beer! Each component comes together nicely. Starts off with a hefty malty backbone with orange citrus, cinnamon, raisins and other dark fruits from the Angel’s Share. A softer red wine nose is barely detectable, with a nice tart and bitter finish from the Cuvee brett and cherry influence. Finishes with lots of oak wood and toasted bread notes. Very well balanced sourness makes this one really enjoyable. An intriguing one to be savored. Hot damn Tomme!
