golubj (990), Redwood City, California, USA Sep 3, 2008 Bottle shared at the CA-GA cultural beer exchange hosted by alexanderj. Deep burgandy hinted orange, with tan head. Aroma is sugary, light cherry skins, spices / yeast. Flavor is the same, yeasty / spicy aftertaste. The tart cherries are nice, but are mostly shadowed by the other flavors. DA (2419), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Sep 2, 2008 RBSG 2008. Tart with a mild acidity. Fruity palate with a lot of dry esters in the finish. Hints of apple and tart cherry, faint spiciness, almost peppery towards the finish. fonefan (4439), Ulfborg, Denmark Sep 2, 2008 Bottle 75cl. @ Amerikaner blindsmagning @ Papsoe, Bottle #25.] Unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is caramel, sour, grpae, moderate to heavy vinegar - grape, vanilla and oak notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and acidic, light to moderate bitter, vinegar with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (190608) alexanderj (1239), San Diego, California, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle; pours a muddy, reddish cola brown with a large light brown head. Aroma of sour cherry, cola, bubblegum and yeast. The flavor got better to me after a few tastings. Enjoyed the after taste. Did not find it very sour or featuring enough cherry flavor (or flavor in general). Not quite as good as the Cuvee de Tomme to me. Gregis (911), Overland Park, Kansas, USA Aug 24, 2008 750 ml bottle kindly shared by mreusch. Pours cloudy brown with a thin, creamy, beige head that laces nicely. The nose is a pleasant blend of sour, fruity, lightly woody and mildly vinous notes; nice. On the light side of medium-bodied, the mouthfeel is vinous and slick with an acidic, chest warming finish at the swallow. The flavor more-or-less follow the nose with a lightly dry and woody finish. This is a tasty beer. Thanks again for sharing it with us, Matt. :)
