UPDATED: FEB 11, 2009 On tap at Lost Abbey Barrel tasting. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma of funk, sourness, peach. Flavor is sour peaches, funky, cherry, barrel, malt. Easy drinking, and quite nice. Glad for the chance to try this one. Re-rate from bottle. Shared by avengedpoet at Bockyhorseys place. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is funky, sour, peach, lemon zest. Sourness is a bit more bold than the first rating and carbonation much higher from the bottle. Gonna have to bump the rating on this one because the bottle was quite a bit better.

On tap at Lost Abbey. Pours a cloudy light gold with a small white head and zero lacing. Nose is unripe sour peaches, lemon peel, sour cherries, oak and some funk. Taste upfront is sour citrus... lemons and ornamental oranges, more unripe peaches, sour cherries, funk, light vinegar and oak tannins and even some malt character hidden in the background. Medium soft mouth feel. I had a couple samples, but I may have to drink a bottle and really get into it a bit more. It’s very good. I actually liked 002 a bit better, but they’re both outstanding.
