Consumed with all ten Veritas beers on April 14, 2012. Shared by Thorpe429, who had this shipped to my house last minute to ensure it would be there to complete the vertical. You rock, Mike. The beer is straw yellow with a light haze. Atop the beer is a small head that fades within a few minutes. The aroma offers herbal notes, tea, lemonade. Certainly an atypical scent from a beer of this ilk. That said, I enjoyed this beer, though I found most of the other beers in this series to be much more complex, intriguing, and flavorful. Tea and lemonade flavors prevail, with only subtle hints of tartness / sourness. I’m glad to have tried this, but I doubt I would have it again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 04-22-2012

NOTF 2010 (Served as TEA). Deep amber pour with a thick head. The nose is really bright with lots of lemon peel, ginger and some tea flavour. An unusually bright tasting beer as well with lots of lemon and black pepper flavour and even a bit of heat. Earthy character and a bit of tea like tannins. Really damn nice brew.

Bottle shared at MuckFest 3 - Saturday Edition. Pours a richly golden glowing hue, bright and vibrant with a cakey whitish head atop. Dies to a loose yet thicker film, laces ok overall. Aromas are sour apples, lemons, crab apples. Gentle woody oak and tea. Earthy, gentle grass, with wet oak, touches of yogurt, sour lemons, lactic acid. Really nice nose with that tea element. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a firm gentle fruity sweetness up front moving quickly into sour lemons, lactic yogurt, and touches of oranges. Some grapes, yogurt, and woody earthy tea elements. Touches of spice, earth, wood. Gentle pepper, firm sourness grows around the beer, with touches of funky nose moving into a richer fruity sour experience. Yogurt, lemons, crab apple. Pineapple, brett, and firmly sour yet not acidic. Backend and finish offer lactic, yogurt, lemons, pineapple. Really firmly sour fruit melange, mellow brett grows, touches of oak. Tea gives it a woody earthy twang that works more me. This beer has certainly come into it’s own. I wouldn’t say this is the most complex sour, but it’s flavorful, works well as an experience. Nice. Vibrant orange, citrus, sour nose with gentle tea really gives some life.
