Cloudy yellow, white head. Dried fruit (apricot, maybe some sweet orange) very prominent in the aroma. Sour, clean aftertaste. Medium body.

bottle sample at Sour & Bitter. acetic, prickly, raw and husky; semi-sweet honey malt with sugared/crystalline egg shell yeast. rough acid, rough carbonation, as is expected from lost abbey. tingly tutti-frutti fruit/sugar flavor with medium to medium-low sweetness; has a mild spice / seed / herbal character and a touch of bleach late. the crushed sweet-tart powder character that I find in other lost abbey sours is in this one as well.

Flaske: Lysegul uklar øl med et fint skumhoved. Ser lækker ud. Duft af hestedække og en del syre. Tør sur duft. Smagen er en dimensionel, hestedække og ikke meget andet. Past its prime og lidt skuffende.

750mL at Sour&Bitter. Fully hazy peach to good pour. Medium cabonation after a gushing bottle. Spotty lace. Excellent Cable Car like nose with Brett C tropicals, lemon, mango, bright fruits, small cobweb. Mild oddities like old jam and mint come through but aren’t quite enough to ding this from an 8 to 7. Taste is quenching, salty, peach yogurt, pineapple, grapefruit peel. Zippy palate with a blend of lactic, acetic, and mallic/tartaric acid (sweet tarts). Sort of like Cable Car light. Much better than I expected.

Bottle @ sour bitter. Pours cloudy yellow, Aroma: pine, pine needles, milky, dusty, heavy Brett, floral, some wood, tart, faint anise seeds, farty, light funky, musty, earthy, fruity sweet, light herbal. Taste: tart, high acidic, pine, bile, dusty, lemon, Brett, dandelion, bitter pine, spruce, very dry, high fizzy, some floral notes, something else for sure.. But quite nice!

Sour and bitter 2012. Cloudy golden/yellow, no head. Pine aroma, sour, fruity, dry, rubber notes. Pine needle flavor, sourish, grassy, woody, fruity with hops. Fresh and a bit unusual.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2012 (Bottle) Pours cloudy yellow to golden. The aroma holds brett/horse blanket, lemon, crackers, cheese and light wood. The flavour is dry, heavily acidic and tiny bitter with notes of brett, citrus acid, crackers, cheese and mouldy basement. The mouthfeel is tart and medium to heavily carbonated. Aggressive citric finish. Light bodied.

Bottle shared with friends. Thanks to Sean for hooking me up with this bottle. Color had tones of yellowish gold with a thin bubbly head. A lot of lemon citrus and zest in the aroma, swiftly followed by sour funk. Good tartness in the flavor, cheeks puckered with joy. Great beer!

Color is a cloudy golden, head is gone quickly, leaving small bubbles bobbing about. Aroma is a thin crisp sour smell. Flavor is slight sour, soft smooth, slight lacto. Very smooth, easy drinking.
