hayduke (3697) - Eureka, California, USA - JUN 23, 2015
Bottle shared at the RBSG Grand tasting in a vertical series beginning with 007. This one exceeds all the ones before and that takes some doing. The beer in the glass is sort of an orange but with tinges of other colors swirling through it like brown and ;pink. The nose is tart cherry, and some oak. Medium plus in body. Great lively mouth feel. Flavor is sour cherry, oak, and my old favorite --funk. Finishes with sour cherry funk. I love beers like this.

mcberko (9223) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 22, 2015
750mL bottle, pours an opaque murky peachy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of funky cherries, barnyard notes, and wood - the cherries are way upfront though. Flavour is super cherry-centric, with loads of wood, dry cherries and oak. Lots of tannins to complement the cherries. Exceptional blending and balance here.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours cloudy and dirty-orange with a small, creamy, white head. Decent retention. The aroma offers a blend of raspberries, cherries, breadiness, sourmash whiskey and American white oak. Full-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is fruity and oaken with sour cherries galore. Cherry SweeTarts are the highlight here and in the slowly fading finish. Big thanks to richiesd for shooting me this bottle of world-class beer!
