Bottle from SJ trade. Bold notes of funky , cherry, wood, berry and apples. Finish was sour apples and cherry all the way. A great representation of the style.

Pour murky light orange, with a small white fizzy carb. Aroma is super funky, sour cherries, sour green apples, horse blanket, wet wood, wild berries, oak, tannins, slight yogurt. Pretty complex. Taste is pretty darn sour, with faint fruity sweetness too it. some tartness for sure. Medium/light bodied, with a really lively carbonation. Thanks a lot mr. Hoprider.

czar (4502) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 11, 2014
bottle shared by hoppypocket, many thanks bro! pours murky golden orange, pink tint, with a nice off-white head showing some retention and lacing. spicy cinnamon - which would be a cherry reminiscence, acetic and bile - medium acidity - kind of puckering, wood - leathery bretts, grass, other red fruit traces. lively carbonation, light body, lightly astringent and sour grassy-herbal finish. far from a kriek - more in taste than aroma, but then again, far from what a kriek really is (in general and in details).

Bottle 750ml. Pours hazy salmon with low white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of cherries, fruits, strawberries, some vinegar. Taste is of cherries, acid, bile, fruits, strong sourness, vinegar, bile. Palate: Light body. Soft carbonation. Overall: A tad acid. Taste is just slightly too much heavy on bile. Somewhat complex.

Bottle (750 ml). # 108. Shared by David, thanks! Slightly hazy bright golden/salmon with a small fully lasting white head and little lacing. Aroma is acetic and oak forward with light cherries, vanilla notes and yogurt notes. Taste is also quite acetic and oaky with cherries, hints of cought syrup, vanilla and yogurt. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oak finish. Mouth puckering. Alcohol is well hidden. It suffered of being drank just after some world class lambic (Roze, OGV ’02, Bierpallieter), but it was also weak in comparison to the Veritas 013 we had side by side. Lack of complecity. Not much fruitiness.

Bottle. Pours a beautiful pale red-blond with decent head. Aroma of cherry pie, light spices (cinnamon?), vinegar and yogurt. Taste is very intense. Cherry tartness (citric notes) but there is also some vinegar and bile. Very hard to drink.

Huhzubendah (2615) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 21, 2014
The beer is a pinkish, salmon, light golden hue with a large fizzy head that rapidly dissipates. Aromas of oak, cherry, earth. Typical lost Abbey funk. Cherries and earth tones with an acetic finish. Not on the level of Cable Car Kriek, but still a tasty beer.

Sample @ RBWG Asheville After Party. Deep amber pour with a modest white head. Nose is somewhat lactic. Yoghurt meats peach and red berry skin. Taste has a nice woody presence. Some acidic cherries. Fruit leather sweetness. Mild brett. Light body, active carbonation. Very enjotable.

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a bottle at the late night tasting after the RBWG Grand Tasting, huge thanks to b3shine for this one. Pours light, pale, pink-tinted yellow with an average off-white head that leaves an average collar of lace. The nose is very sour with a fresh, natural cherry aroma, some funk, and a hint of light bread malt. The flavor is aggressively sour with a ton of sour, natural cherry, super funky, and a bit of light bread malt. The body is medium with heavy tannin, average carbonation, and a very long, vinous sour cherry finish. This beer is obviously an American sour, and really great.
