Smell is almost like a sour red. You get hints of stone fruit and funk in there. Taste is like a sour red mixed with a bit of stone fruit, brett, and oak. In the finish you get all of that followed by a punch of bread/yeast/wheat. Medium body, high carbonation, and mild foam.

Part of the RBSG vertical. Thanks Jer! A: Cloudy gold, some white head. N: Lemon, funk, earthiness, attic spaces, acetone, vinegar, and some green apple. T: Very tart with lots of acetone. M: Light body, sharp carbonation. O: Not a fan, and in fact, Im surprised that 007 had more stone fruit flavor than this one - though the peach is probably contributing to the acetone profile.

This was one of the vertical series at the RBSG. Got this at the Grand Tasting. Poured a brownish orange with a grey head. Nose of peaches, citrus, and even berry. Medium plus in body. Tart mouth feel. Flavor is peaches, vanilla, and oak. Finish is dry and tart. Excellent

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy murky dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of oak, some tart peaches and light wood. Flavour is super dry, with lots of oak, wood and dry fruity tannins. Nice and dry, with an oaky finish. Excellent.

Draft. Cloudy burnt orange, like mulled cider, with thin head of grayish bubbles. Complex aroma. Barnyard funk provides a backdrop for sweet cherry, peach, sour apricot, orange peel and caramel. Displays rich aged character Ive only previously found in Cantillon products. Not as tart as expected. Definitely some fruit juice in here -- the sweet/sour balance is right on. Sweet apricot and peach up front, a little sour lemon, some vinegar (leaning balsamic), and the swallow delivers sweeter cherry and caramel malt. A little weak at the finish. Allow it to sit on the tongue for a while and the apricot really comes forward. Viscous medium body, mild carbonation like pepper. Alcohol is unnoticeable. Good but not mind-blowing. The sour yeast need more time to take hold, methinks. Id give it a year or two.

>> Rating #9100. Thank you Chris for this treat! Clear deep orange amber pour, fizzy yellow foam. Nose is mild soap, tamarind, saltwater..moves to sour cherry, dried pineapple. Not really peach or nectarine. Taste is bubbly, lightly spicy, medium lemon lime, fruit leather. Flavor is pretty impressive for this series, no acetic, big dried apricot fruit leather. Browned butter, spicy oak take over as it warms. Softer and complex, not really a one-note peach sour like I expected. Almost mixed drink/cocktail fruit blend.

Bottle split at the 5/7.5/10K tasting, from an IP trade in Londres, 30/12/14. Hazed rich amber/orange with a decent light beige covering. Nose is apricot, bitter orange, musty tones, damp wood, hay, funk, spice, tarte mandarin. Taste comprises soured apricot, touch of vanilla, funk, farmy, musty wood, bitter citric peel, light acidic wash, soiled pineapple chunks, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light puckerings and a peppering of brett. Solid sour.

Poured from bottle to glass. Amber hue with fizzy off white head that dissipated to a thin ring. Aroma is tart cherry, oak, lactic, acetic. Mouthfeel is great with a medium light body and crisp carbonation. Taste is dry sweet with a tart following. Overall this is a great brew.
