Lost Abbey Witch’s Wit. This beer pours out a hazy yellow hue with a decent white head. It had a slightly yeasty aroma with the spices being the prominent character. Beneath the spices is a sweet smell, most likely from honey and a floral aspect the finish off the aroma. The flavor carries the spices very well with the mild flavor of yeast and malts to round it out. Slight carbonation in this brew, in my opinion it could have benefited from having a tad more carbonation, but that’s just my personal preference in this case. Definitely a good beer.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig, leichte Gewürze, fruchtig. Geschmack hefig, fruchtig, miniimal säuerlich, Citrus.

A yeasty, honey, and citrus aroma. Medium mouthfeel, creamy, smooth. A distinctive Belgian White due to being slightly more bitter than the rest, but still quite mild. Minor hops, citrus (lemon in particular) and yeast flavour. Very good.

Poured into sampling shaker glass. Golden with nice white head. Lace on glass head lasting. Aroma is yeast, hay. This is a nice take on a Belgian if a bit different. Nice yeast notes in the taste, malty. Muted but nice flavor for a 4% drinks bigger. Nicely done.

I am i big fan of lost abbey beers, but here i am bit disapointet to be honest... Nice clear colour in the first pour and a bit cloudy from rest of the yeast in rhe second. Taste is better when it’s cloudy i thinck. Should really taste more.

Look: Large fizzy, big bubbles white head, very fast retention, mostly diminishing. Leaves a very thin thick layer for the whole ride. Color is cloudy - darker straw yellow - wheat! what a surprise. Some carbonation visible.

Smell: Wheat, yeast, spicy - peppers, cloves. Hint of banana and some honey. All light, goes with the style I guess. Comes off as fresh and easy going.

Taste: A bit more honey to detect. There is some grapefruit, lemon zest. This goes to light sweet wheat middle, banana, yeast and ends in light bitterness and sour with spicy/earthy honey notes. Some hop to detect. Everything is very gentle.

Mouthfeel: No surprises here too, fresh, crisp carbonation, light-med body, very drinkable, goes down easy.

Overall: Typical witbier, does down like nothing and not too much taste to stop you from drinking it like a mad man. Easy, gentle, fresh, simple but enjoyable.

Bottle. Very hazy yellow with a fizzy white head. The aroma is mostly wheat, with slight hint of honey. The taste is of honey and water.
