Bottle: Poured a golden color ale with a small pure white foamy head with minimal retention and some pretty good lacing. Aroma is sweet and somewhat cloying. Taste is also way too sweet for the style with honey taking too much place in the flavor profile.Wheat malt and spices are very subtle. Body is quite full with average carbonation. I would say this is one of the most disapointing offering from this usually fine brewery.

Bottle split with mcberko. Pours a pale cloudy yellow, with a lasting white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, funk, butter and some white wine notes. Flavour the same. Medium bodied, slightly dry.

Hazy golden color. Good fresh beer. A little too tart. Very carbonated and still no foam.

Originally reviewed: 3/2/11. 750ml corked & caged bottle. My first from Lost Abbey. Poured into a pint glass. Pours a slightly cloudy dark gold with a thick inch and a half white head resting on top. Good retention; fair lace left behind. The nose is sharp with grass, lemon, yeast, mild funk. Pretty pungent. The mouth is a little on the spritzy side to start out, but mellows as I continue to sip. Mild citrus flavors meld with a green earthy flavor. Light yeast on the back end. This was good, but far short of great. Something about it made me wish I would have split this with some friends rather than try to tackle the big bottle myself. Cool label though.

ICEatALAMO (168) - Troy, Michigan, USA - APR 9, 2012
bottle. The pour is very light with a nice haziness you would expect with a wit beer. The aroma is perfect for a seasonal wit, you get a lot of the grapefruit in the smell along with other citrus smells. The taste is good, but nothing too crazy for a wit. Good, not great.

Bottle with cork 0.75ltr: Slightly hazy golden coloured brew with an fine citrus and grapefruit-ish taste and hints of well hidden honey. Only one critical note the Americans don’t get the right hazyness of an real Belgian Witbier, and this brew no exception. But the beer is an good special thirstquencher.

C&C 750ml bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a two finger fluffy white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast, citrus and some spices. Flavor is similar to aroma with some orange zest and honey sweetness with a dry & refreshing finish

Clear orange golden, virtually no head, flat in a second. Honey smell. taste bitter, honey, dry. Bit watery body. Poored in some yeast after a while, that improved it somewhat (3.0)

Fizzy light orange, small lace. Lemon pie, some parfum. Honey is more apparent in the taste. Also lemon there. Fairly full, bit artificial. Nah. (At the De Molen tasting)
