COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

Pours black with a light tan head. Nose shows cocoa and roasted malt with a little sweet liquorice in the background. More roasted malt as a flavours but not particularly complex. Again a hint of liquorice shows as well as some faint coffee but it’s pretty subtle. Could use more carbonation.

1L squealer. Pours pitch black with a large creamy mocha crown. Pleasant aroma of dark chocolate and sweet molasses. Creamy mouth feel with a resinous hop note, heaps of choc and coffee and some spice from the hops.

Bottle. Clear black with nice red tints and a creamy head. Aroma is coffee-forward, with roast malt and dusty hops. Some liquorice and milky chocolate also. Flavour is chocolate, slightly sweet, with a roasty hoppy finish. Not too offensive in any way in the flavour, just nice and mild, medium bodied. A very quaffable stout.

Single bomber from the LCBO. Pours a dark brown colour with light red-cola highlights. Frothy beige head with good retention and some creamy-thick lacing. Mild roasted malt nose with some nice spiciness from the hops and notes of chocolate, licorice and vanilla. The same for the taste with some good well-blended bitterness from the hops, over the roasted malts that are smooth-down by the oatmeal. Hints of chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Quite nice for a 5.8% ABV. stout that goes down nicely, as everything is on the mild side, but all delicious.

Extremely great smelling beer. Tasty roasty coffee, deep nutty chocolate. Almost deep wine aroma. Looks perfect: solid tan head, not too big, lasts and lasts. Black. Taste is pretty good, sweet and bright. Expected more malt. Palate is solid, dry, good long finish. Not really as big a beer as I expected.

Spina @ birraexpo. Scura con schiuma fine abbastanza persistente. Corpo medio carbonazione anche. Caffè torrefatti che dominano, finale lungo ed intenso.

Stumbled upon in the cellar, this is very tasty. Dark chocolate and a little bit of coffee are the obvious flavors, with a roasty, earthy flavor that suggests medium-dark toast and grilled meat. The nose is roasty, chocolaty, lightly sweet, and somewhat earthy. The beer is medium-full bodied with light-medium carbonation and a creamy, smooth mouthfeel. In the glass, it’s black and opaque in appearance with half an inch of tan head that settles to a thin ring. Overall, this is a good, classic Stout with a delicious, chocolaty flavor. Very enjoyable.
