COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

Thanks Tony. Black and relatively thin beer. Roasty malt aroma but pretty tame. Smooth and easy drinking, slight bitter chocolate

Bottle. Rich grainy pumpernickel aroma with faint milk chocolate and vanilla. Opaque black with clear ruby highlights under a lasting ruddy tan sheet. Sweet grainy flavour with pumpernickel and chocolate and moderate red fruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.

bomber. Poured very dark brown with a tan head. Heavily roasted malt aroma, coffee and vanilla notes. Medium-full bodied, crisp carbonation with a slight oily mouthfeel. Flavour of roasted malts, almost smokey with hints of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, sourish finish.

Very nice; very solid. Nothing to write home about -- until you see the ABV. How did they do the flavor at 5.8%?

Full-bodied. First sip brings strong aroma. From second sip, it spreads over throat softly. Good for dining out for a date ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is neon green with an egg yolk cap. Nose is mostly coffee and chocolate with a bit of roasted grain. This is surprisingly dry for something that’s in the sweet stout category. Carbonation is nice, and the texture is creamy, but it’s a touch watery too. Serviceable stout.

12oz bottle, affordable surprise2 at Village de la Bière, Strasbourg I/2015. Light-bodied, subtly flavourful stout, nicely balancing pronounced roast and chocolate malt notes with filter coffee on a near-fizzy palate. A second, later wave reveals the prominent earthy berry hop back behind this less-than-sweet, not-quite-sturdy stout. Clean, refreshing finish. Not the post pranzo mouth coater I was expecting, but enjoyable as a clean piece of brewing art all the same.

Pours an almost opaque black with a huge frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and creamy latte. Taste is sweet cocoa, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts and a awesome creamy mouthfeel. Well balanced and delicious.
