Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

Pours dark red-tinged brown; ample, fluffy cappacino head, dissipates quickly. Moderate aromas of chocolate and coffee. Flavors of roasted malts, coffee, hint of vanilla, a thread of bitter keeps it from being too sweet. Medium/full body, slightly chewy mouthfeel, slightly fizzy on the tip of the tongue; light, lingering finish. It classified as a "sweet stout" but barely qulifies as sweet due to the the ample hops. Overall, very good.

Heavy black consistency. Initial chocolate taste with harsh after taste. Notes of malted barley.

Pours dark brown, almost black, with a spare diminishing light-brown head. The mild aroma was a letdown, it was milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt and something akin to an artificial sweetener which I did not care for. Flavour follows the aroma but with a little bit of hops added.

Bottle from Woodmans in the Falls. Amazed I never rated before, although we went through all the Lost Coast stuff years back. Dark brown pour, little head. Aromna has light roast, molasses and sweet caramel. Somewhat carbonated, a bit sweet. The oatmeal smoothes it out. Solid, not great. 13.8

Bottle. Rich grainy pumpernickel aroma with faint milk chocolate and vanilla. Opaque black with clear ruby highlights under a lasting ruddy tan sheet. Sweet grainy flavour with pumpernickel and chocolate and moderate red fruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, smooth.

Thanks Tony. Black and relatively thin beer. Roasty malt aroma but pretty tame. Smooth and easy drinking, slight bitter chocolate

Full-bodied. First sip brings strong aroma. From second sip, it spreads over throat softly. Good for dining out for a date ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown almost black color with tan head. Roasted malt and cocoa on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with strong over roasted notes.

bomber. Poured very dark brown with a tan head. Heavily roasted malt aroma, coffee and vanilla notes. Medium-full bodied, crisp carbonation with a slight oily mouthfeel. Flavour of roasted malts, almost smokey with hints of coffee, bitter dark chocolate, sourish finish.

This is a very good stout, but it is on the lighter side if you are expecting a strong thick stout. 8-ball has hints of chocolate and coffee, with a slight malt finish.....medium ABV%. This is a good daytime/early evening beer if you want something dark that isn’t 8-12%.

Very nice; very solid. Nothing to write home about -- until you see the ABV. How did they do the flavor at 5.8%?
