COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not for the faint hearted! Our stout rewards the palate with robust flavor of roasted malts (malts are roasted like coffee beans) and heavy hops. A creamy smooth surprise.

Bottle poured into tulip. Opaque black, roasty nose, tan head, full body. Roasted malt flavor is enjoyable though simple. The malty finish lasts a while. More grainy than sweet to my palate, good stuff.

Bottle. Very dark brown, thin persistent head, bubbly to the point of over carbonation. Roasted nutty aromas, body a bit thin.

Pours dark brown with a quickly dissipating head. Classic oatmeal flavours with silky mouth feel. Hints of chocolate and malt. No sign of the promised "heavy hops" which may have balanced some of the sweetness. Has a slightly sickly sweet finish like a milk stout but overall really nice to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BOD 2/18/14. Pours pitch black. Outstanding head volume and retention, world class lacing. Typical nose of chocolate and roast. Medium body with a smooth texture that has some slickness. Slightly above normal carbonation with a bit of effervescence in the middle and a nice prickly burst in the finish. The flavor profile is moderately intense, not complex but is well balanced. It is a mild roast and chocolate blend from start through the finish. The middle brings a mild bitterness coupled with a mild malt sweetness. The finish is a slow fade of roast and chocolate. A good stout.

12 oz bottle enjoyed on vacation with my sister and brother-in-law in California. The pour is a medium black with a little lighter brown notes poking around the edges and a little lighter khaki colored ring of head. The aroma is full of roasted malts and medium chocolate. There is a good lactose sweetness happening here as well. Not a whole lot else happening. The flavor is surprisingly sweet. There is a good chocolate and lactose there, but it's a basic milk stout in my honest opinion. The mouth feel is light and the aftertaste is lingeringly sweet and malty. Pretty decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with a nice tight tan head. Roasty, coffee, chocolate aromas. Taste is similar, light roastiness, coffee, cocoa, bitterness is a good mix of roastiness and hop bitterness. Nice, easy drinking

Bottle - pours black with a tan head. Malt and choc aroma. Bittersweet upfront with a short lived dry finish. Creamy palate.
