Very balanced, while not very robust in flavor, a very good session ale, being easy drinking.

On tap at Nick & Nates, Sylva NC on 10 July 2006. Attractive bronze/amber colour. Light grassy hop aroma. Much fuller hop presence in the flavour - flowery and resinous. Light biscuity malt backing. Mellow mouthfeel. A very sold and drinkable amber.

Not extremely tasty, nor aromatic. Taste is nutty, pretty sweet, toasty or roasty (whatever the difference is). Aftertaste is not bitter, but alcoholic.

Bottle. Poured hazy amber with a beige head. Sweet caramel and citrusy hops aroma. Flavor was sweet malt, some orange, and a very subtle hops finish.. Light bodied with a carbonated tingle. Overall simple, but still nice.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Onslow (713) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 21, 2010
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. SLightly hazy brown brew with three fingers of off white head - seems a little over-carbonated as the foam gushes out of the bottle after opening. Aroma of brown sugar and malt extract. Taste is sweet with hints of molassas and a bit of hops bitter in the finsih. Rather thin palate. A little too sweet throughout and hops is a little unbalanced, but otherwise a very nice brew.

I LIKE IT! I’m an IPA guy, and Amber Ales are my next choice. A good one has a nice carmel taste, with just the right mix of malt, and a slight hop like finish. This one does it in spades, IMO. A nice carmel/malt start that’s not too heavy but, you know you are drinking a serious beer. Goes down SUPER smooth, to my pallet. The finish has a nice little citrus after taste. Subtle - but, it’s there. A fantastic brewery (the Indica IPA is a favorite) and this is a stellar Amber.

12oz btl. Pours a copper with a super thin white head. Has a malty molasses aroma. Smooth malty start with a mildy bitter hoppiness then to a candied carmel finish. Not bad.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ante (3375) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2010
Bottle. Pours out in a hazy brownish amber colour with a small bubbly off-white head. Malty aroma of caramel, fudge and almonds. Medium-bodied with strong malty notes of caramel, toasted malts, nuts and cherry-sweets. Fairly clean mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of fudge, caramel, toasted malts and dark berries. Decent amber, this. .
