COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-flavored amber ale made with roasted caramel malt. Richly colored and medium-bodied, Alleycat is an assertive blend of malts with a sprightly cascade of hops.

Reminds me a lot of Anchor Steam. Caramel and light hops. Easy drinking an enjoyable. Nice malt presence. A little Irish twist to it. Great beer.

Tap at Yard House in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Pours a clear amber. Beige foam. Sweet cherry nose, sticky, vegetal, big grenadine. Taste is tangy, suddy, grainy, small chemical. Palate is powdery, mealy, dry, lots of sweet cherry and cardboard. Hydrogen peroxide.

This is a plain, easy drinking session beer with sweet candy and red fruit taste.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine VA Beach. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, stone fruits and earthy notes. The taste is caramel and toasted malts, apples, earthy and floral notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle from Mitsuya’s. Very clear, golden amber colour, bubbly golden head. Aroma is doughy, but of spice, bready malt. Maybe slightly floral. Taste is quite subtle and maybe a bit one dimensional, but quite nice. Bit of caramel, bit of malt. Quite smooth. Just a hint of a hoppy prickle at the end. Quite simple but nice and easy drinking. Maybe it lost a bit of spike in the trip over here, but I still like it.

Oxidized aroma, oxidized flavor, oxidized palate. I hesitate to even rate this, since this bottle is so old.

Pours amber with a beige head and sweet aroma of hops. Taste is sweet and well balanced, of malt, hops, and caramel with a long, bitter finish. Simple, solid amber ale brew that goes down easy.

Pours a muddy brown color. Nose is malty with caramel notes. Taste is malty and bready with some hops to it. Carbonation is soft, with a medium texture. Finish is dry with a bitter finish. Very drinkable and simple amber ale.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a moderate white head. A little malty in the nose, but not a huge smell to it. A little bready in the taste, but not too bad. Overall, meh.
