On tap poured into a 10oz tulip glass. Pours a hazy orange amber with a thick off white head that recedes to an oil slick. Real faint pine and citrus nose. Tastes of strong pine and citrus, a little sweet caramel. Chewy texture, decent double.

On tap at The Brass Tap poured a clear golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, pink grapefruit and a hint of pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit, light orange zest, light earthiness and a hint of pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

On tap. Hazy gold with a thin creamy head. Medium aromas of floral hops and sweet malt. Nothing strong or overpowering. Flavors are floral hops, citrus tones, and a well balanced hop bite. Beautifully understated. This is not a big, bold IPA, but a nicely balanced, lower ABV beer. Beers like this often pass as pale ales, but the floral hops here are well represented to give it a slightly more well-defined character. Medium mouthfeel. Crisp finish. I really like this one.

Bottle from Archive Beer Boutique April 2014. Hides the alcohol quite well as you don’t get a big alcohol kick. Deep amber almost orange colour with hops hops and more hops.

Poured from tap. Deep golden bordering on orange, delicate white head which dissipated quite quickly. Everything you’d expect on the aroma, Spruce, grapefruit, white pepper. Taste wise it’s quite bitter with a bit more bitter and a hint of caramel malt sweetness. Long, dry finish enhances the bitterness.

Draft sample. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy sour citrus and earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

1L squealer. Pours clear golden with a small but think one finger white head. Nice resinous piney aroma that also follows through the flavour with a sweet toffee malt and heavy bitterness.
