Bottle. Clear mid-brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate and nuts. Getting towards watery and far too fizzy. Sweet with chocolate and caramel (where did the nuts go?) grassy bitterness at the end is a little much to allow it to be bland and soothing but not enough to be much of a feature.

Dark brown colored pour. Big white head. Plenty of lacing. A slight roasted grain aroma with a nice malty background. Sweet malty flavor with some notes of roast. Nice sweet finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a nice nut brown ale that has a slight hop aroma and flavor. It is similar but not quite as good as the Rogue effort from the same region of the country. This beer is smooth and goes with everything.

Acquired from hayduke. Thanks Ron! It poured a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was nutty and malty. It had a medium palate and the taste was also malty and nutty, with a hint of chocolate. Decent.

Draft to taster. Looks alright; light for a brown ale though. A transparent copper with foamy off-white head. Smells of mild roast and malt. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. An easy drinker, but otherwise forgettable.

A very good brown ale - thin and watery, thirst-quenching are not adjectives one would imagine to match to a beer endowed with neat flavors of nuts, caramel and toffee. This is the case, though. Really gets the job done
