Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks kerenmk. Clear brown. Malty aroma of nuts, caramel and light toastiness. Sweet malty flavor with nuts, caramel and a bit of toasted bread. Medium-bodied.

12oz brown bottle at Wunderbar. Brown pour, creamy white head that clings to the glass. Nose is nutty, chocolatey. Taste echoes the nose, nuutyu and chocolatey malts. Finish has lunge ringing chocolate malts, very light bitterness. Body is light, average carbonation. An ok session brown.

Bottle @Lost Coast tasting at Artisan Wine Depot. Pours clear deep amber brown with a small beige head and some lacing. Nice aroma of rich toffee and caramel roasted malts, with some fruity notes. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and lightly woody. No real bitterness. Full bodied and creamy for the style.

The first time I had this... the bottle must have been spoiled or skunked. No sour aroma here, just mellow oats and hops with a hint of honey. The taste was nutty as well, but smooth with a light cocoa in the finish. There is a hint of bitter in the finish but it is otherwise a light drinker - very refreshing as well.

Bottle - Light roasted coffee and milk chocolate on the nose. Clear dark brown no head to speak of. Mellow smooth chocolate and a bit nutty. Little bitterness, so if you are a dark chocolate fan this may be underwhelming, but as I like milk chocolate it works for me. Not quite a stout or porter, light mouth feel, but has almost the strength in flavor. A great refreshing flavorful beer without the heaviness.

Pours a dark amber with tinges of red and a moderate head. Has a hint of bitterness to the nose which is a bit odd. Has some slight nuttiness to the flavor.

Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Medium brown brew with pale off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, roasted malt, a little nutty. Taste follows the aroma - blend of sweet and raosted malts, nuttiness, sweet till the finish when a mild hops bitterness offsets. Roasted malt in the very end. Very nice.

Pours a dark brown color and leaves an approx. 2 finger tan head. Has a malt, nutty aroma with a hint of hopps. Has a malty taste with a very slight bitterness on your palate. Overall, a very good beer.

Taken from old notes. Sweet malty nose. Taste follow suit with a sweet aftertaste. Decent enough brown ale.
