5%ABV. Brown Ale. Tapped out light brown. 18ºSRM. Nose is beery. Some sweet aromas that are reminiscent of honeyed dates and Chinese red-date tea. Some honey sweetness and organic funk. Phenol in the nose. Mouthfeel is watery. Palate has nutty, black bread, hazelnuts. Ton of wheaty phenolic palate flavors. Finish is brief and beery.

Good beer, slightly thin on the body for what I'd like in a brown, a bit high on the carbonation. Not much nutty flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle into a pint. Pours a clear medium brown, with a small tan head. Nose is dark roast malt and cocoa. Taste is that of a typical brown, with a bit of nuttiness and a dry finish. Oddly sweet in the middle, but the hop finish kills the sweetness. Not bad, but nothing great.

Porter aroma, cacao, bit of chocolate, nuts. Like this aroma. Normally don’t really fancy brown ale aroma but this I like. Taste is complete different. It much more like brown ale. Bit nutty, caramel, malty. Easy, drinkable, not what I would expect from brown ale. It’s ok, but nothing special having on mind it’s from California.

Pour is a dark brown with a fluffy yet thin head. Very dark color in a full glass, but as you drink it, shades of tan and gold appear. Smell is hazelnuts, almonds and coffee. Taste is a tad watery, but mostly there: a solid nutty and dark ale toast

Draught. Almost clear deep copper liquid with small to medium off-white head. Aroma of buttered crackers, raw sugar, toast and grain. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of diacetyl, crackers and grain. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Very buttery and sweet.
