12oz brown bottle at Wunderbar. Brown pour, creamy white head that clings to the glass. Nose is nutty, chocolatey. Taste echoes the nose, nuutyu and chocolatey malts. Finish has lunge ringing chocolate malts, very light bitterness. Body is light, average carbonation. An ok session brown.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Brewers Haven. Aroma gives no clue as to the taste that follows. Starts out with a luscious clear brown pour and thick, silky head. Soft toasted malt aroma leads into big full on brown ale taste. Rich and robust, slick and sublime, lots of dark malts with hints of molasses sweetness round out to a nice nutty taste. One of the better brown ales out there.

Bottle sample at a tasting. Thanks David. Amber-brown with a big creamy head. Smell of toasted malt, caramel, honey and toffee. Taste similar to nose, moderately sweet with low bitterness. Light-medium bodied.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin, Tel Aviv. Thanks David. Deep brown with small beige head. Sweetish aroma, notes of date honey, raisin and carob, a bit spicy. Quite sweet flavor, notes of date honey and carob, spicy and bready, light sourness and light hoppy bitterness. Moderate carbonation, light-bodied.

Draft. Pours not. Down with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like nutty malt, toasted, and some dry coffee. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like nutty malt, dry toast.

Slightly better than average brown ale. Smooth and crisp, like the other Lost Coasts that I tried, but nothing extra special. On the lighter side, good for daytime, etc. Sweet honey-sugary, nutty flavor with slight hop aftertaste. Pours dark brown with light carbonation, not too much head. Worth the try, but may go with the competition next time I go try a Brown Ale.

Nice roasted malt, coffee and chocolate flavor, silky finish reminds me of Moose Drool.

Le type de brune qui peut se boire sans problème par pinte entière. Une odeur de confiture de fraise avec un touche de chocolat, c’est un désert liquide qui se boit comme du petit lait!

A nice brown, good but not great. Pours a dark brown with a white head. Smells of hazelnut and cinnamon. Taste is vanilla, cinnamon and hazelnut with a bit of a thin finish. Had on tap at the Powder Leg in Hercules.

BOTTLE. Pours a red/cola with plenty of carb, bubbly cream head. Nose is a mix of malts & drinking chocolate. Definitely a nutty taste (slightly allergic) which wasn’t great, BUT a nice roasted malt, coffee & chocolate flavoured masked it for a good beer, silky finish.
