Middle of the road beer to me. Decent flavor, decent smell, decent appearance, nothing stands out but nothing detracts. Would drink again.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer pours a translucent but very dark brown, with a bit of red in there. The head was very thin with jumping bubbles, and lasted only a few seconds. There is no lacing or lasting head whatsoever. The beer smells malty and of heavy alcohol, although I had to try to smell anything. There is almost no alcohol warmth in the taste. Iím going to say the beerís character is on the sweet side, however itís extremely well balanced, and the flavor is nice and mellow overall. Over time, the beer becomes drier. The primary flavor is of roasted malt. Carbonation is bubbly and sharp, and the beer finishes dry. This beer is affordable and easy to drink.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fairly dark for a brown ale, this beer features a slightly off-white head and a malty, caramel aroma.
The taste is a bit nutty and sweet, though the beer seems a bit thinner than it should. Itís a good example of the style, flavorful enough, but not exemplary.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a dark brown color and leaves an approx. 2 finger tan head. Has a malt, nutty aroma with a hint of hopps. Has a malty taste with a very slight bitterness on your palate. Overall, a very good beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On draft at Goat Hill Tavern, Costa Mesa, CA.
Couldnít detect any aroma. Appearance was good when first poured. Deep brown/black with a short, creamy nitro head. Head dissipated quickly but left traces of lace on the side of the glass.
A nicely balanced american brown. A bit light in flavor for my taste but pleasant. Palate was a bit fizzy and thin.

Subtle malty aroma. Very clean with slight nuttiness. Beautiful reddish brown appearance with a lasting off white head. Very smooth creamy taste with slight nutty finish. Very enjoyable beer.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown with thick white head that died down quickly. Aroma and taste are malty with a sweet hint of something like chocolate or coffee towards the end.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light but sweet aroma. Hints of nuts malts. Rich tan head settling down to a thin layer with light lacings. Great deep brown color. Malty, nutty, bready flavor with just enough hops to cut the sweetness. Lovely if a little light on the tongue and quick on the finish. Good lasting back-tongue finish but little in the mouth and a fairly dry mouth-feel

Awesome labeling, but as a very good friend told me.... If the label is to fancy the beer must not be very good. I must agree this is very average.
