Dark brown with thick white head that died down quickly. Aroma and taste are malty with a sweet hint of something like chocolate or coffee towards the end.

Pours a brown color with a large tan head that dissipates at an average rate. Moderate lacing.
Toasted malt. As it warms I get hint of roasted nuts (cashews).
Toasted malt and a little caramel sweetness. Finishes with a bit of chocolate flavor.
Medium body beer that finishes with a slightly syrupy texture. Soft carbonation.
A very easy drinking smooth beer. A bit one dimensional for me.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2013 A nice, simple brown ale. A tad watery. Nutty but doesn’t possess the usual smoothness to match. Drinkable.

Drove all the way to Pavillions , which is about 7 miles, just to check out their beer selection . My uncle said they had a big beer selection. For the most part he was wrong. I did however see this there, and im a big fan of brown ales so i picked it up.
I was suprised at how it smelt and taste- almost nothing like the other brown ales ive drank. It had bitter hops which i dont normally taste in brown ales, and which im not a big fan of. luckily it wasnt that strong, and didnt linger. Slight nutty taste and smell, but besides this like i said wasnt nothing at all like other brown ales.
Not what i expected, but not bad either.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2005 I had this for the first time 3 days ago at my friend’s house. It’s a great subtle brown ale. Slightly sweet and certainly not overpowering. I’d definitely buy this ale for myself.

[bottle] one of the best brown ales I have had. this one is delicious. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, very little light comes through, the head was thin and light brown, and dissipated quickly, but complimented the look of teh beer nicely. Flavor is light chocolate and coffee, smells of medium roasted coffee and malts. Mouthfeel is not watery but not really thick either. finish is a little bitter, but complimentary of the aroma and taste.

Nice dark brown color. Great taste. Looks like it's a flat beer, but tastes like it has just enough carbonation and alcohol content.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2003 What a stellar session beer. Don't expect Belgian bliss, but for a really great beer to drink all afternoon while working at just about anything, look no further.
Extraordinarily drinkable American brown.

Bevendola vorresti un sapore leggermente più deciso e in generale il corpo si lascia un pò portar via se avete bevuto qualcosa prima, tostatura leggera e nocciola, apprezzabile ma giù in città si beve di meglio
