COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A smooth, full-bodied nut brown ale, lightly hopped with a hint of roasted and crystal malts. This ale is dark in color without the heavy taste of porter or stout.

A lot darker than I expected a brown ale to be, minimal head. Had a coffee finish to it, otherwise roasty. As I like stouts, this was a good thing. It’s good, but I can’t really think of any kind of person to recommend this to.

Tap at the counter, santa monica. Pours brown with a khaki head. The aroma is toast, brown sugar, and a bit of pine. Taste is toasted caramel and hints of cocoa with a nice offsetting pine bitterness, which does not linger very long into the finish. very good for the style.

Sweet, stout flavor. Not too heavy or bad aftertaste. Really good for volume drinking.

I used to drink this a lot when I lived in California. I took a sixer back on my most recent trip there. It still holds up. Fairly sweet and mildly fruity. Easy-drinking. I like this one a lot.

A dark cola color with a lot of creamy-tan head. Mildly hoppy aroma. Lightly flavored and a bit thin. A little charcoal bitterness and some sweet malt. Nothing special.

Sweet charcoal aroma. Skunky, wet, moldy vegetation. Deep roasted malt notes. Woodsy coffee flavor reminesent of a porter. Minor licorice notes. Gets nutty in the finish; walnuts and almonds. some fruitiness comes out as it warms. Palate is uninspiring.

Malty caramel taste that is pleasing. My nose detects toasted nuts. Not a knockout in the flavor department but has pleasent aftertastes that reminds you that you’re drinking an OK brown ale.

Awesome American Brown Ale. Rich and malty with roated, nutty undertones. Finishes slightly hoppy and sweet - a real treat!
