3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served on tap. A dark amber, light brown beer with a slightly off-whit head. Aroma is very nutty with some caramel sweetness. Taste is slightly sweet with the malts dominating. There is a nutty overtone to the taste as well. A somewhat thin and watery mouthfeel. In sum, a very pleasant brown that tilts toward the nutty.

Not bad, has a toasty, nutty, light caramel, and earthy feel to it. Downtown is an easy drinker. 22oz bomber.

Super foamy head. Pretty light even though it claims to be full body. Not a fan of this, wonder if I got a bad one. Cardboard.

Bottle. Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma had hints of coffee, nuts and hops. Taste was, unlike what the description says, like a good porter.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nuts, caramel, a hint of resiny hops towards the end. A little watery for a brown ale for my taste. Drinkable, but not great.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Brewers Haven. Aroma gives no clue as to the taste that follows. Starts out with a luscious clear brown pour and thick, silky head. Soft toasted malt aroma leads into big full on brown ale taste. Rich and robust, slick and sublime, lots of dark malts with hints of molasses sweetness round out to a nice nutty taste. One of the better brown ales out there.
