In a word...FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! Ok, so that's two words. I don't care - I need to be able to fully articulate my feelings and emotions right now. So back OFF! Hoppy, balanced, crisp, fresh and clean. I've sampled many 'IPA's' of late and this one, in my humble opinion, is an excellent representation of what a true IPA should be. Higher ABV, fresh hop aroma and nice and pine-resin-y! I should mention, I do sell this beer HOWEVER, I invite you to try and then judge. I'm a fan. I understand others may not be. I pity the fools.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not the best IPA I have had. Tastes like it’s trying to be a DIPA with the IBU level. Some decent tropical flavours but nothing too special. Odd metallic taste.

So I can't tell if I like this beer. Had on draft but tastes like a bottled beer lacking freshness or crispness. Strong flavor that's almost too much metal-like taste on the palate. Strong hops just not in the unique way a I love. Fine. Not bad. Not special.
On draft in Hawaii.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap in South Korea. Sweet pine and strawberry aroma with delicate caramel and grapefruit accents. Slightly hazy copper under a lasting, off-white cover. Flavour is very hoppy, with strawberry and pineapple up front, followed by a sweet, light caramel malt backbone and grapefruit and light apricot notes. Bitterness is subdued and ethanol comes through a bit, but the beer isn’t hot. Medium to full body, moderate to medium carbonation, tangy and smooth feel.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange amber color. Off white, rocky head. Good body to head. Great retention.
Nose is pine, orange, citrus, grapefruit, and caramel malt. Good aromatics.
Taste is very pine and grapefruit forward. Moderate bitterness but does linger well. Good amount of resin. Medium bodied, medium carbonation.
One of the few US IPA’s that come here in really good nick and insanely fresh. One of the better beers lost coast makes

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours cloudy amber orange, two finger head, nice lacing and retention. Aroma of herbs and caramel. Taste is very balanced between the sweet malts and the herbal hops. Medium body, medium carbonation and sticky mouth feel. Finishes with hints of pine, licorice, sweet melts and grass. It’s OK.

355 ml bottle bought at CitySuper in New Town Plaza, Shatin.
Looks:Translucent amber honey with no yeast sediments; Razor-thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 5 seconds;
Excellent sticky lacing with very slight carbonation.
Aroma: Fragrant, quite fresh and sweet Ale malt, with
grapefruit, strong jackfruits, floral nectar, molasses, very light pine, light yeast, lemon and grass.
Taste: Medium sweet Ale malt, with grapefruit zest, molasses, pine, resin, wood, light yeast, lime, quite strong bitter hops, and sharp grass.
Body: Close to medium; Slick and fairly oozy palate.
Mouth Feel: Quite good Ale maltyness, slick but not so thick. Grapefruit zest dominate complimented by nice sticky jackfruit aroma, good middle sweetness. Simple hop notes with good woodiness. Pretty nice!
Hoppiness: Fresh and sweet jackfruit, floral nectar and grapefruit in nose. Strong grapefruit zest, light pine, resin nice wood and lime in taste. Bitterness is mid-to-strong, tasty for a lasting astringent finish.
After Taste: Slightly dry. Very citrusy and nicely bitter to mouth.
Comments: This one seems to have everything fall into right places - fair maltyness, very floral and sweet tropical hoppy aroma and nice resin and bitterness. It just feels a little too simple in hop taste and not really spicy. Otherwise, this is a near-ace and very enjoyable indeed.
