3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 dresden (269) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - JAN 10, 2012
Pours a deep golden with close to an inch of frothy white head. Aroma is pretty standard hops. Some citrus, not over the top but good. Taste is similar, very standard. Not a ton of body for a big IPA. It’s good but I won’t seek it out very often. Above average.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jonno (1460) - JAPAN - JAN 9, 2012
Lovely hop pungent nose. Lots of citrus, pine and loviliness. Well carbonated. Decent body. Big foamy head. Solidly bitter with out being over the top - a little spicy hop action to finish. Very ’juicy’. Not quite up there with the greats, but a great everyday IPA...maybe the best value IPA in Japan at 350 yen a bottle? (Extra point awarded for price point).

taste: piney floral woodsy hops, roasted and caramel malts, and some bready fruity yeast character.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DSG (3017) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JAN 7, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 Re-rate 2/22/12: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Lee. Slightly hazy deep golden Slightly stale hoppy aroma with some malt. Flavor has light sweetness with a bitter finish of somewhat stale hops. Medium-bodied. Past its prime (it’s the same batch I tried before, but this bottle got held in the mail for a few months). Not calculated in the total score. 5/3/6/3/12=2.9
Bottle. Hazy dark orange-amber color with a stable, medium, bubbly white head. Great citric hops aroma with some flowers and pine. Rather dry flavor with only very short malt sweetness and a lingering, grapefruity, bitter hoppy finish. Medium-bodied. A very nice IPA. A great beer to start my birthday with. 8/4/7/3/15=3.7

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 monkeychugg55 (709) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Older penny copper with a small, white head. Nice lacing. The aroma is grapefruit, hop flowers, slight pine, and clean caramel malt. Sweet flavor at first, with grapefruit, lime, and herbal hops. Pretty bitter finish. medium to light body with light carbonation. Pretty decent ipa. The Willamette ads a nice touch that makes it different from every other ipa.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chris2431 (189) - Oregon, USA - DEC 14, 2011
Bomber, bread, resin, floral, not a bad ipa by any means but very underwhelming. I?d drink it again but I dont think I?ll buy it again.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Blairgus (1209) - California, USA - DEC 10, 2011
10 Dec 2011, bottle. yellow, clear, some bubbles, frothy thin head. grassy hops with some faint peachy notes. slightly bitter. med body and a bit fizzy. resiny, bitter hops are dominant flavor but there is some sweet, perhaps peachy, flavor. pretty nice. finish is slightly bitter and short.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DavoleBomb (1143) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2011
Poured into a pint glass.
4.0 A: Clear light orange color. Two fingers of pillowy white froth. Retention is pretty good and lots of lacing is left.
3.5 S: Dank, floral hops with citrusy notes. Light caramel and grainy malts. Not bad, but fairly anemic.
3.0 T: Light earthy and citrusy hop flavor. Not much in terms of bitterness. Caramel sticks out more so than the hops to make this an overall sweet brew. However, like the nose, the taste is much weaker than I’d like. Uninspired.
3.5 M: Light body. Good moderate carbonation. Usually I’d demand more body for an IPA, but this still manages to have a reasonably creamy mouthfeel in spite of the light body.
3.0 D: Pretty mediocre. Not something I’d buy again.
