Poured beautiful hazy deep orange with a large foamy lasting off-white head and lovely lacing. Aroma is a very mild citrus (orange and grapefruit) fresh hop with juicy sweet malt - touch of fruit and fresh ripe hay. Taste is balanced but delivers quite a bit more sharp fresh grapefruit hops than the nose promises, with strong pine-spruce resin and some dried wildflower to go along with the fresh-but-mild sweet malt. Mouthfeel is juicy, sharp, medium-bodied and quite acidic-lively.

West Coast IPA with off-white, irregularly lacing, medium thick, well retaining, dense head and almost clear, deep and warm glowing orange blonde colour. Aroma of biscuit, tangerine, pine-scented air freshener, dry apple cake, dried mango, toasted white bread, marmelade, soapy lychee, tropical flowers, sweet curry, bitter honey, light marihuana, sweet white grape, lavender. Clean, fairly neutral onset, some restrained sweet and mildly sourish fruitiness (orange, mango, lychee), soft carbo even for the style, smooth and light, somewhat oily body, nice biscuity malt sweetness but only lightly so, leading to a juicy malty finish with aromatic, mildly citrusy, refreshingly piney and ’tropical floral’ hoppiness, which, however, fails to deliver the long drying bitterness one would expect from an American style IPA; there is a citrus peel-like and peppery bitterness for sure, even lasting quite long, but it does not thoroughly penetrate the malt sweetness which dominates the end, rather staying at the surface of it. Weird... this must be the ’softest’ American IPA I had so far, aromatically attractive, but not delivering these expectations in pure flavor. This is much closer to APA than to IPA I think, nothing wrong with that of course because this is certainly a very tasty beer, but I expected more bitterness so given the fact that Lost Coast labelled this IPA, I cannot help but being a little bit disappointed...

Bottle shared with Erwin Van Moll @ Brewpub Van Moll. Slightly hazy orange color, medium sized stable white head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is lightly malts, fruity, fruit hops. Taste is light to moderately malty, nicely bitter, nice fruit hops, a touch of resin and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Delicious!

Fruity piney aroma, fresh and pleasant. Bit grassy with orange fruits in the back. Similar notes in the taste, no malty sweetness. Just hoppy profile, hoppy fruity notes. Well placed , soft but quite big bitterness. Very good mouth feel. Awesome example of west coast IPA.

Nose is biscuit and toast with caramel notes. The hops are mild with pine notes. Nice enough to drink but I’m drinking this in Australia and think it may not travel well.

330mml bottle tasted on the 23/04/2016. Slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is malty with hints of grapefruit and hops. Sweetish malty pine needles and citrus hoppy flavor. Has a malty bitter hoppy finish with some citrus in the aftertaste. Next one please!

Bottled 355ml. -at Pivoteka Zagreb. Unclear darker orange coloured, small white to off-white head, light hops in the nose. Sweet malty, caramel, fruity hoppy, mild citrusy also with dry bitter finish. Not bad but in other hand pretty ordinary.
