Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, fully lasting, good lacing. Body is hazy dark amber, dense tiny and small particles. Aroma is heavily hoppy (citrus - grapefruit, resin, grass), lightly malty (cookie), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, heavily bitter, moderately acidic. Medium to full body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly astringent. Plenty of genuine bitterness here, which is good, but still has lots of that puckery grapefruit juice acid bite on the sides of the tongue that I’m just not a fan of. The aroma is huge, but it’s almost entirely hops, which clobber most of the complexity the malt and yeast might have offered...big hops alone don’t do it for me. Stellar appearance and a rich/full/creamy mouthfeel, though.

Clear copper colour and small tan head. Carbonation seems very lively from the looks of it. Mild aroma, I can’t really pick up anything else besides hops. Perhaps a little bit of grassy notes? Taste is different from your usual IPAs in my opinion. It starts quite mild, almost kind of like a lager? The aftertaste is a bit more like it, somewhat dry and the hops will finally come out. Overall, I feel this is a bit weak for an IPA but it’s still not bad by any means.

Quite a nice looking beer here with a deeper medium amber color and a tall fairly dense head. The off white head leaves spotty lacing as the beer receeds from my glass. This hazy beer also has carbonation that’s a tad light. I’m about a foot away writing down my notes and the hop bouquet is just flooding the area with a beautiful citrus and pineapple scent. There’s no doubt that this is a west coast beer, quite aromatic. There is also a good caramel malt backbone. The taste is pale in comparision to the aroma. I wonder if this is wet/dry hopped? The beautiful hop bouquet in the nose is absent from the palette. It’s more a kin to a traditional IPA in flavor with a desent amount of caramel malt backbone but only enough hop pop to balance out the malts. It is also a tad sweeter then other IPA’s I think. Typical medium weight on the palette with some fine grittiness or chalkiness. It is though, even with the absence of hop pop, quite bitter at the ending and finihes with a light biscuit aftertaste. I was somewhat dissapointed because of the lack of hop flavor in the taste. Overall I thought it was a pretty good beer and definitely worthy of more.

Pours orangish red with off-white head, good lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine hops, with some carmel. Taste is crisp and clean, yet bitter (in a good way) and some unexpected sweetness. I’m a fan.

Pours cloudy peach with a solid ring of khaki head. Nice lacing. Bread malts, orange citrus hops, pine, resin and caramel malts on the nose. More sweet malts, grapefruit hops, more earthy malts than hop bitterness thru a medium finish. Creamy to a degree. Really drinkable and not heavy. Great IPA

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange, thin head. Aroma is pure resinous hops, citrus fruit with a little lemon pinesol mixed in. Taste is honey, good bit of malt, floral hops. Moderate carbonation was evident and the beer finished like a well balanced, juicy, west coast IPA. When I heard this name, I was expecting a narcotic buzz to the body and head, but turns out it was just a beer hah. Still an excellent IPA worth trying if you can find it.

On tap @ Monkey Pod in Maui. Poured a liquid apricot into a pint glass with a fluffy white head. Aromas include orange peel and coriander. Initial sip introduces nice hop flavor followed by a hint of caramel and malt. Palatable hoppy bitterness coats the mouth and lingers pleasantly. Overall, a very enjoyable IPA.

Hazy copper pour nice orange tint, off white head, sticky striped lacing ... aroma is of biscuity and caramel malts, some floral/grapefruity hops .... taste is malty (caramel/biscuity) with a nice floral/citrusy (grapefruit) hop bite but comes out more as it warms and lingers into the dry finish .... abv hidden well .... well balanced and sessionable ipa .... could have been more generous with the hops but its still a great brew

Poured from a 22-oz. bomber into a pint glass. Just over two fingers of head. Color was a hazy caramel. Bubbly, cloudy lacing on the top. Wet, spongy film on the sides. Smelled citrus hops of front. Got more lime and pine than anything else. Some lemon notes as well. Tasted pretty similar to the nose. Got the citrus hops up front. Lime and piny, but not overwhelming. Even more of a bitter finish than I anticipated. Some light caramel in there as well. Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, abrupt finish. A decent IPA overall. Nothing really stood out, but nothing was too awful.
