4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 RobBestwick (583) - Calgary, Alberta, - JUN 28, 2011Bottled. Rich citrus aroma. Pours with a deep bronze hue with significant, frothy white head. Classic hoppy IPA flavour with a lot of complexity and sharp finish. Very pleasant texture and overall a great beer.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Pours orange with a large creamy off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is strong citrus and some malt sweetness. Taste is very hoppy with citrus and pine. There is some bitterness but it is well balanced with some malty sweetness.

Keg at Hop In Brew Pub, Calgary. High carbonation, copper brown in colour, lasting white head. Quite a piney slightly resinous ipa, bitter in the finish, not so much fruit. Pleasant.

Draft at Mugishutei. Pale golden color, grape and yeast in aroma and taste. Short finish. Nice "standard" IPA.

On tap at Reilly’s Taphouse. It poured a nice light copper color with a good citrus hop aroma. The flavor was a nice caramel malt, citrus bitterness and is very sessionable & well balanced. It is a very nice mild IPA, very solid.

Pours a golden orange with a small white head. Smells of pine and fruit. Apple and pine is most prominent flavor with notes of malt. Finishes bitter. One review mentioned "green apple". That is very accurate. This makes a nice Fall IPA.

Pours a slightly cloudy gold with a large cream-colored head. Aromas of pine and green apple - almost sour? Surprisingly mild tasting. It is hoppy, but not assertively so. Almost more like a pale ale. Medium-to-heavy body. Pretty good, but not outstanding.

Bomber. Pours a clear golden orange color with a small head that lingers and collects at the edges, leaves some lacing. Nice floral and citrus hop aroma, a little musty. Nice toasted malt aroma complements it. Taste is moderately bitter with lots of dry floral and citrus hops. Tastes a bit stale and this is a pretty fresh bottle. Balance is a bit off here but the flavors are decent. Very dry finish. Medium body, fizzy mouthfeel. Overall, really nice aroma, average taste.

Draught at Watering Hole, Yoyogi. Clear amber - offwhite head.
Peachy. Flowery notes. Toasted. Light nutty. Bisquit. Nice hoppy. Zesty. Ok bitter finish.

This is a surprisingly good IPA. Floral aromas and citrus (grapefruit) are the dominant hop characteristics. Nothing special about it but it is one of the better IPAs I’ve had.
