Skeegle (318), USA Apr 16, 2008 Updated: Sep 2, 2008 Fantastic IPA. Very sweet, but with a medium body making it taste sweet and not sugary. Very remarkable finish of bitterness and sweetness wrapping an orangey confectioner’s pineness. A great IPA that is clean, crisp, hoppy, and extremely well balanced. I really can’t get over how well integrated the sugars are to the hops. This beer is soo sweet but even for an IPA it doesn’t taste out of balance. My new favorite IPA.
caesar (2574), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 9, 2008 Tap @ Alibi Room, Vancouver. Clear orange color, medium head. Aroma of hop. Nicely balanced taste, bitter, slight malty. Petrucci914 (374), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 1, 2008 Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium off-white soapy head and leaves bubbly lacing. Aroma is citrus hops, some earthiness, and a small floral characteristic. Tastes unlike most IPAs. Taste is mostly floral, with a malt and spicy hop backbone. Sammy (3139), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 22, 2008 A very good IPA, and a hard one to find Northeast these days. Drying full bittreness, smooth, orange citrus. Aroma of c-hop but also a tad musty in there. Better as airs out. Dry aftertaste, must be high IBU.Lace webbing remains. illidurit (434), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 18, 2008 On tap at 99 Bottles in Santa Cruz. Poured into a pint glass. Copper color with an off-white head that leaves some decent lacing. Aroma is of citrus fruit and hop resin. Flavors of clean grapefruit and pine. Toasty malt profile, but hops run the show here. Good balance, medium bitterness. Surprisingly tasty beer from a mediocre brewery. Dry lingering finish. joekfsu (138), Boardman, Ohio, USA Sep 17, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a deep, cloudy brown with a 2 cm tan long standing head. Aroma is sweet for the most part, a little floral. Initial flavor of sweet malts. Flavor ends on spice and hops, and the hops carry on for a while. Medium body, limited lacing, light carbonation, and a hint of alcohol. Overall a well done beer, even the female roommate likes it.
