chokmah33 (88), Bremerton, Washington, USA Mar 28, 2008 Piney, ammonia bouquet. Mild, fresh sour apple aroma. More maltly than most IPA’s. Pungent perfumey hops builds from start. Some fruity notes in mid. Brown sugar malty finish, not enuff to threaten the hoppy cleansed palate dry hops aftertaste. Oily texutre and a hoppiness that makes the mouth salavate.
sickassmick (60), Concord, California, USA Jul 21, 2008 pours hazy orange brown. little head. smells very balanced between malt and hops maybe a little more on malt. fresh. mouthfeel is bity and refreshing. lots of hops on the taste... not overdone. right on target. leaves long bitter taste, but a little one, if that makes sense. very nice beer! Blaketj80 (2), Oklahoma, USA does not count Jul 20, 2008 Pours hazily amber with thin white head and decent retention. Mouth feel has adequate body. Definate recognition of hops through the tongue, but definately not overwhelming. Hops with notes of citrus. Enjoyable middle of the road IPA. RCL (973), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jul 20, 2008 Distinct tangerine hop aroma. Not super bitter. More citrus flavor with hints of cedar. Very nice. bulletrain76 (497), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jul 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Couldn’t find a date on it, and in retrospect, I wish it had one because this definitely tastes a little old. Either that, or I’m way to used to more straight hop-bomb beers. Nice amber-orange color with a pillowy head. Aroma of candied grapefruit and orange; a little malty. The flavor is a thick maltiness with a kiss of grapefruity hops and some melon-like fruitiness. Pretty weak on the hops if you ask me. Not bad at all, but I was definitely looking for more hops when I picked this up. the mouthfeel is pretty full and a little unclean. Tastes like a decent, balanced pale ale. I’m hoping that this was just a little old because the hops could use a boost. pforei (317), USA Jul 7, 2008 Bottle from Foodery. Dark orange amber color with sediment floating all over even thought the last 1 cm of the bottle was not poured. Thick caramel cookie dough malt aroma with pine/grapefruit and perfumey hops. A lot of malt and yeast upon tasting. Interesting that an IPA showcases malt and yeast right up with the hops. Really sweet. Mildy bitter. Thick soft mouthfeel.
