COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This highly hopped California style Pale Ale showcases the brewer's art of balancing malt and hop characteristics. A generous addition of Munich malts balances the bittering from Chinook hops, and Cascade hops round out the flavor profile.

Nice tangy, citrusy aroma. The flavor was full of that sour apple hops taste, and a nice crispy, tangy flavor as well. Full body. Nice pale ale. Very easy drinking.

deep coper color witha a small bubbley head. Earthy, spicy hop nose with a slight hint of fruit. Lots of malt sweetness with hoppy fruityness on the tongue. Tastes almost like a belgian ale. Good beer but unlike any pale I’ve ever had.

SpaceMonkey (182) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 21, 2002
Not much for the nose here, I can detect just a trace of hop smell and not much else. A very clear golden color sits beneath a thin white head. The taste is somewhat thin. It finishes much bigger than it starts, ending with a big wall of dill. I don’t care too much for dill, others may feel different.

Downgraded slightly on 7/24/02. Original: 12/04/01: In my mini-California vs. Midwest beer competition I had last night, this fared very well. Good body, unpasteurized, a very good APA. Losing ground on a second and third retasting.

BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - MAR 20, 2002
Light pale golden hue, clarity, soft head of white foam. Nose: perfumey, apricot fruity citrus zest. Lightly carbonated palate, soft easy drinking mouthfeel, refreshing zip. Greta taste, mild apricot, tangerine sweetness and bite in the middle, grapefruit citric quench in the finish. Perefect summertime ale.

Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: OK hops but not much else is in this one. Lacks balance

A good pale ale, quite drinkable but slightly lacking.

Cascadey nose, beautiful hoppiness, full extension from nose to light malt, some sweetness with medium effervescence, good lacing. Clean and crisp with a full flavor.
