US trip Aug/Sept 2009 - Notes indicate this one was a weird tasting fruity wheat beer - orangey with some shortness. Not unpleasant, but weird

Bottle. WOW the nose is unexpectedly full of tangerine ("hint" my ass), half juicy, half powdered. Light wheat as well. Cloudy yellow-orange with a sudsy, metallic beige head. Taste is more of the same, lots of tangerine but with more wheat and a dulled bready note. Zesty, tart medium body. Better than expected, and spectacularly fruity (in the Way of the Juicy Juice), definitely worth a try.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of tangerine, wheat and a hint of honey. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of wheat, light tangerine and light honey with a crisp dry tangerine finish. A great summer beer!

UPDATED: OCT 5, 2010 Shared 12 oz. bottle at Lunar Brewing Co. and poured to a hi-ball sampler glass. The color was a light orange/straw, and the head was some off white foam that fell off very quickly to a ring and some light film with not much noticable lacing. The aroma was pleasant tangerine, sweetness, and some light grain. The flavor was light, with less intensity than the nose. Refreshing brew, but came off rather watery. My next experience with this beer was a draft version, served to a shaker at the Tribes in Mokena, IL. The color was a cloudy, apricot hue, with almost no head or lacing. The nose was candy sweetness and tangerine, almost Kool-Aid-like. The flavor added a light medicinal hint and the carbonation was lively, but with a little Alka-Seltzer taste. I’ll leave the rating as is, but the tapped version was not at all redeeming.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours a cloudy orange color with a very small fizzy white head that soon dissipates to zilch.. The aroma is rich with tangerines and oranges that have sort of a Tang like quality. The flavor was a bit disappointing, sort of like a watered down Orange Crush with some light character. The mouth-feel was thin and watery, with light carbonation. The finish was short and dry with a bit of lingering orange peel. Overall Impression? This needs more zing.

Pours a fading off-white head with a slightly hazy, deep golden with some amber body. Smells of tangerine. Flavor is tangerine and malt. Finish is thin and tangerine. Tastes a little fake.

Draft at DRE. Pours hazy copper with nose of pale malt, tangerine, slight hops. Tastes hopcitric, with pale malt and a low level Sunkist orange soda flavor. Meh.

Draft at Brass Tap (Shops at Wiregrass - Wesley Chapel, FL). Pours an orange amber color with a white head. Semi-sweet ciitrus aroma. The tangerine flavor is noticeable, but not overpowering. Quite a bit of tartness with a dry finish. Not my cup of tea.

Not a hint of tangerine here, it’s ripe and juicy and powerfully aromatic. Soft yellow, short lasting head. Very sweet and plasticy. There’s some wheat there, and I love Lost Coast, so when I say this beer tastes artificial I’m not implying anything. But I can’t take a second sip.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is tangerine and other citrus and a touch of malt. Flavor is also tangerine and malt, with only a hint of bitterness. Smooth and light mouthfeel. Not bad, but not my thing really. It is different, but I think I like other wheats better.
