1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - OCT 19, 2006
Draught at the brewpub.Slightly hazy golden color with disappearing white head that didn’t leave any lace. Light citrusy aroma that most likely came from the lemon slice the beer was served with. Flavor was malty cereal grain, subdued white bread and a bit of annoying soap. Not my favorite.

Very pale yellow colored body with very little head. The aroma was lemons with some slight grass. The taste was lemons with a hint of bubblegum. There was also some crisp refreshing bread taste. Thin and watery, but no bad flavors. Typical and decent for the style.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2007 As stated in the beer menu, served with a slice of lemon into a 10oz. pint glass. Made a average appearance, poured a lightly copper hued golden with a small foamy white head that quickly settled into a thin lacing, moderate carbonation. Had a clean, but bland nose, just a little pale maltiness, sort of biscuity and crackerish. A smooth light bodied mouth feel, because of the taste, below average drinkability. Served with a slice of lemon, I tried it without the lemon first, but this was such a bland, tasteless wheat lager, after a few sips, you dunk the lemon in. No real hop character or malt crispness, just a bland wheat cracker flavor, I am afraid it can’t stand alone, it needed the slice of lemon. Not one of the Lost Duck’s better offerings, I, personally, wouldn’t recommend it.
