Draft at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy pale yellow color. Head was thin, white, and didn’t leave much lace behind. Pleasant aroma and flavor of subdued noble hops. There was also a light malty cereal grain flavor that lingered ever so slightly. This is better than most light beers.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2007 From the tap, served at a cooler cellar temperature in a pint glass. Poured a chill hazy bright yellowish golden with a foamy white head, pretty much exactly how you would expect a brewpub lite lager to look, a nice, sharp appearance. Aromas of powdery, dusty sweet pale malts with a little citric fruitiness. Good, even carbonation and a crisp, dry, quaffable light bodied mouthfeel, very smooth and easy to drink. For a lite beer, it was actually quite tasty, dry, sweet neutral pale malts, the right amount of citric fruitiness to balance with the sweet tasting malts, and a dry, bitter finish with a spicy leafiness that cleanses the palate, a lite beer that you know has hops in it, well made. I’m not a fan of lite lagers, but I don’t hate them either, and this was the best tasting lite beer I’ve ever had, all you can expect from a lite. Who would know that of all the new releases that the Duck has been introducing lately, that a lite lager would be the best of the lot. More hop flavor than their new APA, amazing, and in a way, kind of sad too.
