From a half gallon clear glass growler with the Lost Duck’s male mallard duck logo on the front label, served in a pint glass. Made a good appearance, poured a clear amber hued copper with a foamy, bubbly topped white head that settled into a bubbly fine lacing, good carbonation. Had a toasted grainy and fruity nose with a diacetyl yeastiness. A smooth, crisp light bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Crisp toasted grainy maltiness in taste, a soft fruitiness, a slightly biting hop presence and a sweet toasted grainy finish. This is, so far, my favorite brew at the Lost Duck, could use a little butteriness and hops for my taste, but still, a nice pale ale, recommended.
